October 12, 20213 yr I wonder will cheryl do a greatest hits, it would prob be her best way of some album success. I don’t see it. At most I can imagine an “Essential Cheryl” release a la S Club 7 and Sugababes, but not a properly official Greatest Hits. I think the moment has passed, her solo career has been too stop and start for there to be a viability in packaging together 7-12 year old hits.

October 12, 20213 yr Her moment to a point has passed but if she was to do album a greatest hits I think would be her best option, release a new single and some promotion and it could get a decent enough debut and some multi formats.
October 13, 20213 yr I mean if Billie Piper could have one... :lol: True, that Billie release was along the lines of these “Essential” albums, a thrown together budget release without artist input! That I could perhaps see for Cheryl. I would be amazed if Cheryl ever does a properly promoted “official” Greatest Hits! I think the time for her to have done that would have been in 2015. Coming back after years of inactivity to do a Greatest Hits isn’t unheard of, of course, but I can’t help but feel that Cheryl would struggle to make the public care enough to make it a viable endeavour. Maybe it would be an easier sell than a new studio album. It’s kind of weird to think it’s been 7 years since Cheryl was a chart force (I Don’t Care being her last #1) but there were signs at that point that the wheels were starting to fall off… Only Human the album didn’t do great things for her despite being preceded by two #1 singles, and then Only Human as a post album single really bombed.
October 13, 20213 yr Cheryl's chart force ended kindly quickly,, it went from having number 1s easily enough to hardly anything but to be fair she had a very respectable solo music career while it lasted.
