The Slightest Touch being released on a Friday and actually showing up in the first midweeks shows the potential is there for them to chart. I feel like it should have got a full blown single push pre-album release. Having it as a promo/instant grat back then was a waste of its potential!

BMG have a blind spot when it comes to CD singles it seems, it’s annoying because their roster of artists are essentially all from the era of CD singles… the fan base would buy them if they existed!!

It’s certainly weird how most CD singles these days are coming from relatively modern artists.

Bmg def have a blind spot with cd singles and it's strange but good strange that its the modern artists doing cd singles the oldies need to jump on it.

Yeah I don’t understand their lack of physical singles, the likes if Kylie would shift a few thousand from her official store every time.

Lol now we've discussed this, Kylie is finally releasing a CD single again in the UK, for her upcoming new single.

So BMG... can we have CD singles for Steps too, please? :(

Oooooh steps next!!

They have to be, maybe they will surprise with an announcement soon and go the full hog and announce a cd and vinyl single for the slightest touch.
BMG may start taking advantage of the very slight revival in the CD singles market.
I hope they do, i still love a physical single, i grew up with them in different formats over the years but always loved buying them.

Me too! I really hope Kylie's CD single shows that BMG is open to doing more.

Feels like they're becoming more common again... there's one for Elton/Dua Cold Heart, Coldplay's recent two singles, Ed Sheeran's singles, The Weeknd Take My Breath, Jesy Nelson's debut single, The Wanted's comeback single... to name just a few!

There is a hint of growing popularity for CD singles again.

Kylie's upcoming release may see BMG test the market for artists such as Steps on their rota.

I am loving this CD single resurgence, it will really help boosts acts like these and Kylie's chart appearances. I do begrudge paying through my nose for a 1-track CD single a bit though.
