just randomly found this on YT

and read it was planned to be the lead single for Angels with dirty faces

until it was replaced by Freak like Me

and eventually didn't even end up in the album

but actually sounds pretty good to me

of course it's not Freak Like Me but would have sounded good on the album

what you guys think?

A straight up bop!! I'm so glad we finally got to hear the track cause the title had been floating around for years. It makes me wonder how the Angels album would have sounded like had this been the lead and they never recorded FLM.
Oh it doesn't sound too bad, I've not heard this before or that this was planned instead of FLM.
I waited until the CD arrived to hear this and what a banger!! Very late 90’s/turn of the millennium but a stomper of a track. Can see why it wasn’t on One Touch as it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the album so well but can also see why it was dragged back up for Angels.

Which CD is it on?

The Amazon third disc! (edit: beaten to it :kink: )

Can the topic title be edited so that it says World instead of Word?

Godele simply whispers, "no" x

Minimalist track. It might have been a top 20 for them if they released it instead of New Yearas the last single from the first album.

This is my favourite of the new material now by far. Its a solid gold banger

Minimalist is not a word I would use to describe this tbh.

This song is unreal. :o

And hidden away in the vaults for all those years. Crazy!

Fuming this isn't on Spotify :(

Right?

Hopefully when the Amazon Exclusive sells out they'll add it to digital platforms. Physical is nice, but digital is where it's at long term - and I think (/hope!) London recognise that.

This has blown me away so much that I've almost ignored The Other Side altogether. Need to give it some attention.

Sounds like it's the best one of the demo bunch also

I'd assume that they might've signed it as an Amazon exclusive for a period of time - at least six months as a guess. I'd assume it does getting added eventually.

I don't use Spotify so its all fine for it to stay a Amazon Exclusive for me :kink:

The ONE major benefit of Apple Music is seamless integration (ok, integration) with my existing library of content, so I can rip the physical CD and then it becomes part of my personal Apple Music library

That is so handy! I don't even have a CD drive anywhere anymore, take me back to itunes days with ipods.

I still prefer to buy a CD over a download. I never really embraced digital. Netflix being the only exception

I agree, don't think I've ever paid for a digital album, there's just nothing of it.

Yeah! I just like to hold the physical CD and see the liner notes and that. Like sure it gets immediately ripped into iTunes and then kept and played in a digital format, BUT it’s still nice to have.
