Posted October 11, 20214 yr Now that most of us have had some time to digest the 'new' material, if you could have chosen one of the seven tracks to have made the final One Touch tracklist, what would it have been?
October 11, 20214 yr Author don't make me pick. I can't. I think we're all really struggling! And understandably so. What a collection of songs. I went with Little Lady Love in the end. I really think this track had so much more potential.
October 17, 20214 yr Im going with All Around The World after much deliberations Very close with Girls Nite Out and the OG Little Lady Love
October 17, 20214 yr Author Sometimes just hasn't clicked with me. I love the harmonies, but the instrumental... Maybe I'm too used to the leaked acapella snippet. Im going with All Around The World after much deliberations Very close with Girls Nite Out and the OG Little Lady Love The taste. My Top three also.
October 17, 20214 yr I like Sometimes, but I feel like it could've been mixed better with the vocals and the backing track. Maybe it's just being so used to the acapella though.
October 17, 20214 yr All Around the World I think Little Lady Love is probably better but wouldn’t have fitted the vibe of the album. Although I’m immediately doubting myself as I’m not sure all around the world would have fitted that well either

Although I’m immediately doubting myself as I’m not sure all around the world would have fitted that well either All Around The World probably wouldn't have fit in with One Touch OR Angels, despite the latter being more eclectic. I can see why they held onto it - it does sound like something that could've gone top five for them at the time. Maybe if they could've found a proper one-off avenue for it - like a charity single or movie soundtrack one. On the other hand... the girls hated it so it was probably better off being shelved. But overall, the standard tracklisting for One Touch is probably the right one.
October 18, 20214 yr I do think The Other Side could've fit on the standard tracklist of the album especially between Promises and Run For Cover or it could've been released as a proper B-Side to the Soul Sound single.

True, maybe that's why it doesn't get brought up to much? The other tracks seem to show a different side to 1.0, Girls Nite Out, This Is What You Need and Sugababes on the Run could've been on a more party-oriented tracklist, maybe with All Around the World and Little Lady Love (OG) thrown in.
October 18, 20214 yr I agree there’s defo some, especially with the alternative versions of like Soul Sound, That point to a Potential totally different direction for the girls. Given how old some of them are, it’s interesting to see that they seemed to have tried their hands at just about everything while working out their sound - similar to the Sacred Three era leaks

Given how old some of them are, it’s interesting to see that they seemed to have tried their hands at just about everything while working out their sound - similar to the Sacred Three era leaks I think it's surprising because One Touch is probably their most cohesive album, so it's pretty surprising to hear all over the place their sound was. A lot of the alternative mixes seem to point towards a more synthbased sound, which they completely stripped from those tracks ultimately.
