She could have been celebrating the 10th anniversary with Little Mix, getting a number 1 with Sweet Melody and enjoying the success with Confetti/Heartbreak Anthem/Kiss My Uh Oh and lapping up all the goodwill and love from the industry with a Brit Award and yet she's destroyed her close friendship with the girls, made herself a laughing stock and ruined any affection the public had for her after Odd One Out.

 

I think she may be regretting this solo career.

I feel like if she had did that then we’d be calling her out for being disingenuous. I wish she had spoken a bit more at the time but it’s easy for us to say how we would react, when it’s likely Jesy didn’t think she was going to pop off so specifically as she did.

Watched the live while it was happening and was absolutely disgusted by Nicki (obvs) and Jesy.

 

She could easily have stepped in and said something. It’s not about being on the spot that allows her not to speak up. She’s always been able to speak her mind before.

 

And we all know that this live would have been arranged and agreed upon between Jesy and Nicki’s teams and they would have told them what to speak about and what not to speak about.

 

I was a massive fan of hers in the group, was super upset when she left and wished her well because I genuinely thought she was leaving because she wanted to look after herself. This whole episode proves that it wasn’t the case!

 

This was the final straw for me. She can’t come back from this.

Completely agree with all of this, it's so I'll judged and I think she must have a lot of yes people surrounding her who don't have her best interests at heart. As disappointed as I am in her and her actions, I think she will regret all of this and it could take a huge toll for her mentally once this 15 minutes is over, because I can't see future singles doing well and she could unfortunately be left in a real vulnerable place which I worry for her. She needs to properly acknowledge EVERYTHING but I just fear it's far too late at this stage.

Okay, now THIS I agree with wholeheartedly. I think it’s the best summary of how I felt watching Jesy during this live. It felt like she was just talking to her idol rather than some genuine bestie or new friend, and I think her staying silent for a lot of the Leigh-Anne discourse was down to her being, as you said, out of her depth and not wanting to step over someone she looks up to. That person she looks up to is just, frustratingly, very outspoken and seems to get involved in situations that don’t necessarily concern her.

 

I feel like Jesy will grow to regret some of the choices made in this past week, but it will probably be too late as far as the GP’s view of her is concerned.

Jesy couldn’t open her mouth once to defend Leigh during that live but your first thought is that she asked Nicki to change her caption within minutes of it being posted? Seems unlikely.
