Is Santa Baby a good promo for Kylie or does it not matter? I imagine some people listening to Santa Baby and wondering what happened to Kylie, discovering her latest music, and buying or streaming it. Is that just wishful thinking on my part or is it really happening?

 

I'm pretty sure that sadly, for many people who listen to it on their Christmas playlist it's the only time they acknowledge her existence. :(

Agree - it’s not introducing her to a new fanbase the only really benefit is her bank balance and return to the charts.

I would doubt she makes much from santa baby though.

What week do you expect a Santa Baby chart return.

Either the 3rd week of november or the last week.

Kylies version has yet to become the staple Christmas song - also the success of it greatly depends on if streaming playlists decide to push the Eartha Kitt version instead.

Ya i get what your saying, there are a good few Christmas songs far more staple than Kylies Santa baby plus the Eartha Kitt version still gets plenty of attention which doesn't help Kylie.

Santa Baby has been dropped from the 2021 update ‘Now That’s What I Call Christmas’ so if it’s not picked up by big streaming playlists it could be a bit of a washout for SB this year.

That a shame, thank god for its new peak last year.

Would love another Kylie Christmas song to take off, I’m not a fan of SB in the slightest however it’s a shame they have omitted Kylie totally from Now Christmas :kink:

Im not a fan of Santa Baby either and would love another KYlie song to take off in its place but i do like that it gets kylie back in the charts but with now Christmas omitting it it might change that.

I thimk we are lucky that Kylie has one staple Christmas song that attracts interest.

Yes thats the main positive about santa baby for me, maybe now that Now christmas is omitting it this year it would be the year to give it its own physical.
