October 18, 20213 yr I wonder if they want to go out on a high. Their albums have slowly declined in sales over the years so maybe they think now Jessie has left, instead of going on as a trio they will work on their solo projects and be remembered for how successful they were as a band. It is going to be very interesting over the next few months. Just Carol Honey  I don’t think that’s anything do with Little Mix as a group though. Album sales are dead. They’re lucky that they still have a fanbase that buys into multiple formats.
October 18, 20213 yr I mean, they had an obvious peak with Get Weird / Glory Days, but if anything the sales of those albums are out the norm for them and not really anything anyone achieves outside Adele and Ed Sheeran these days. If anything it's decent that they can still sell Platinum, even if it takes a while longer these days due to the decline of the album market. I have no doubt that Confetti will end up selling Platinum eventually.
October 18, 20213 yr The earned a break after 10 years of solid hits. Excited for a couple of years of solo stuff but also excited when they inevitably join back up (though it sounds like this will be more as a trio for good)
October 18, 20213 yr The earned a break after 10 years of solid hits. Excited for a couple of years of solo stuff but also excited when they inevitably join back up (though it sounds like this will be more as a trio for good) Do you think they will? I fear it may end up in a similar sort of scenario to One Direction. The girls are so close but will they be in a couple of years with busy solo projects and families? I really hope not but I guess it depends how things pan out on there breaks.
October 18, 20213 yr I’m excited to see what they’re gonna come up with as solo artists but I can’t see any of them seeing massive success on their own and I think they’ll miss the group dynamic and come back as a group before long.
October 18, 20213 yr There's no way it's like 1D, as much as people want to deny it I don't think the likes of Harry and Louis and Liam were ever close enough to want to do this, and on top of that - I think no one in Little Mix will get a solo career as big as Harry's which is another reason they probably aren't reuniting anytime soon.
October 18, 20213 yr I’m ready for them to take a break in all honesty. The girls have given us countless bops but I don’t think we ever really good a stellar album and so some time off to recharge might benefit them in the long run when it comes to the material.
October 18, 20213 yr I’d love to have at least 1 proper album as a trio before they take a break and I’m hopeful it will just be a break and not a permanent break up !
October 18, 20213 yr The Sun claims Perrie tried to 'quit' Little Mix two years ago? What are everyone's thoughts? The Sun is usually reliable when it comes to the girls, I would never have expected a rumour like this about Perrie so it kinda makes me think it is true because it'd be a stretch out of nowhere? PERRIE EDWARDS tried to quit LITTLE MIX two years ago but decided to stay in the group for one final tour. I can reveal that despite the group putting on a united front, Perrie explained to bosses in 2019 she saw her time in the group coming to an end. During a sit-down meeting, their Confetti Tour - due to take place in 2020 but later delayed to 2022 - was discussed and Perrie said she wanted to hit the road with the girls one last time. However, in early October 2020 the group hit another bump when Jesy Nelson called a meeting telling the girls she couldn’t continue - weeks before she announced her exit in December. Following the recording of the video for their No1 hit Sweet Melody, Perrie, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall met with their management team after filming an episode of their BBC show The Search, where they talked about continuing as a three. An insider said: “This idea that everyone was happy in the band prior to Jesy leaving is a smokescreen. “Perrie actually told the band she was thinking about leaving in 2019 which prompted a sit down with management. “In the end she agreed it wasn’t the right time and they talked about the Confetti tour which was delayed due to Covid - it was known that after the tour Perrie would bow out of the group. “Then in an October 2020 meeting Jesy made it clear she was suffering and she felt like she couldn’t continue. It didn’t come out of the blue for the girls as Jesy suffered a panic attack live on Radio 1 just weeks before and it was Perrie who jumped in and covered her vocals. “Again the issue of the tour came up and Jesy said she would do it so long as Covid didn’t delay it as she didn’t think mentally she could cope with another year in the group. “Things panned out differently as her mental health deteriorated and everyone thought it best to speed up plans.” I told last week how the three remaining members will each pursue solo careers following the tour next spring, which is likely to spell the end of the chart-topping group after more than ten years together. Hopefully they can find peace with each other by the time they all do eventually bow out.

I mean 2019 seemed kinda rough for them commercial wise, so I’m not surprised that 2019 was almost a split, but they’re just so united now I can’t see this going forward. The Sun is usually right but they’re also wrong when it comes to Little Mix as well. Hiatus is coming, we all knew this, but it’ll be a Take That scenario, as Jade stated before.

What's with the roundtable talks and Jesy calling a meeting with the girls? Also, in one of the live lockdown interviews, they consistently denied none of them had tried to/wanted to/been offered to go solo. So someone somewhere is either economical with the truth or making up stories.
October 18, 20213 yr I mean, I wouldn't be overly surprised if they had serious discussions about the future of the group in 2019 as Think About Us underperformed after Woman Like Me and cut all promo for LM5 short, then of course Bounce Back didn't do that well either. They were just coming off the huge highs of Get Weird / Glory Days so LM5's performance must've seemed like such a commercial disappointment.
October 18, 20213 yr What on earth? I’m totally confused by all these stories, they constantly contradict each other in parts. I guess we’ll never know but I really do feel like this is the end for some reason at least for a very long time. I can imagine Perrie wanting to leave actually especially with Disora. October 18, 20213 yr I do think Jesy would have stayed and completed the Confetti tour if it happened when it was originally supposed to have and then left. Gosh, i'd love to know what was going on behind the scenes with everything, doubt we'll ever know or it'll be some point in the future at an inevitable hopefully four piece reunion in 10+ years (i'm sure the trio will return in a couple of years though).

I don't think she'd have stayed. Her departure in retrospect was actually abrupt. She left week of album release and week of The Search's final. She "blocked" them and cut them off...
October 18, 20213 yr i mean i don’t think it’s reliable tbh, when jesy left it would have been the perfect time to call it an end if Perrie wanted to leave

October 19, 20213 yr They talk so much rubbish. The tour wasn't even locked in 2019. If Perrie had actually wanted out then they could have just split when Jesy left.
