I don’t mind Taylor.

So why are you so pressed? It has 30 songs (and two of them appear twice) but it's a remarkable feat regardless and it's not like the album will remain so high for the rest of the week.

That doesn’t mean anything. If Adele put out another version of EOM, she’d be ahead in overall streams. That’s how it works when you put two versions of the same song out.

And if my grandma had wheels she'd be a bicycle x

that's a very impressive showing for Taylor, though Red TV doing better than Fearless TV was somewhat to be expected given the UK never cared as much for Fearless the first time around.

All Too Well I suppose should get a top 10 position this week, though it won't hold up well enough to contend for #1. Then it looks like Red and IKYWT will end up being the other charting entries this week. And we'll probably get Leave the Door Open back in the top 40 from an auto-reset alongside Juice Wrld as a new entry.

Pleased to see Acraze make a big climb on Apple today and holding up well on Spotify given the Taylor takeover.

But Adele doesn’t have another version out and Taylor is 200k in the lead :selena:

Well yeah, like I said that’s how it works when people are listening to an “album” (I use that term very loosely where this is concerned) with 2 versions of the same song. :lulu:

It’s probably her biggest album and has like 30 songs on it though. Just looked at the US numbers and they’re much better, but again she has 30 songs on the album.

I’ll be interested to see how it holds up for the rest of the week. I’m expecting a collapse, actually. Especially for the ATW 10 minute version.

You’re hoping for a collapse, aren’t you?

Biggest female debuts in Spotify history (Global):

#1. Red (Taylor's Version) — 90.6M

#2. folklore — 80.6M

#3. thank u, next — 70.2M

#4. evermore — 67.4M

#5. SOUR — 63.2M

#6. positions — 58.7M

#7. Lover — 54.9M

#8. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) — 50.8M

#9. Chromatica — 48.3M

#10. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go ? — 47M

She truly is the streaming queen (and #1 globally overall too at the moment, male artists included)

Ok, but Taylor is still 200k ahead :michelle:

Because I find it lacks artistic integrity to put out an album with 30 songs purely with the intention of breaking streaming records. Then when I see certain fans acting dense like that doesn’t matter, I feel I need to call it out. If I don’t, no one else will.

Ok, but Taylor is still 200k ahead :michelle:

Okay? Did I disagree with that?

This is all very childish.

That is crazy for Taylor!! Do we reckon Adele will break those streaming numbers next week with her album?

Well, I don’t mind Taylor so no. If you can’t handle someone stating a blatant fact, that’s on you.

Doubt it. 30 is an actual album with 12 songs, as it should be. If she does break the record with just 12 songs, now that would be something. It would be mind-blowing, actually.

You said ‘it means nothing’ that Taylor is 200k ahead and you were happy that Adele has held onto the #1?

1. It means Taylor is ahead

2. It means Adele is not #1

Not a Taylor fan but let's not forget Chris Brown put out a 45 track long album once, before putting out a deluxe edition taking that number to 57 - and that didn't get anywhere close to breaking any records.

Well, no one is arguing that Chris Brown is a bigger artist than Taylor Swift here.

Don’t see the point in discussing this with someone who is being purposely dense. Some fans really are so in love with their favourite artists that they really can’t take the statement of a fact when it disturbs their utopian view of them.

People trying to downplay Taylor's insane success and pitting women against each other yet again? Shocking.
Undeniably incredible numbers for Taylor! Having a 10 minute song (probably couldn't find a song more unfriendly for streaming) at #2 is a massive feat in itself
