I liked it then and I like it now. The metalic cover will look amazing in physical form.

If it is anything like that Jessie Ware 'Platinum edition' vinyl cover (which looks like it is), then in reality it looks f***ing terrible

well i don't like everything here.

Nothing good to collect.

Lest year the 5 cassettes and Disq was fun and beautiful.

Here there is nothing.

Picture disc looks exactly as I expected, happy with that.

The cd cover will need to be seen in person how it looks, so reserving judgement on that one.

Tbh I expected worse for the tracklist. Everyone has crowed and crowed about Step to me being avsilable digitally and now that box is fully ticked with 3 versions. I've always wanted Viva Forever SW98 digitally as it is their peak in my eyes. I expected it to be padded with remixes which it is.

Of course I'd have loved an unreleased song or 2 but I'm not sad or upset at no military chant or Spice Invaders ect.

I wonder if we should expect the preorders to go live on their official store today? No sign of it on Amazon UK or HMV yet.

I hope official store has something special exclusive.

Like individual CD, cassettes…etc.

So this artwork that leaked three weeks ago is actually real.

Step to Me (7" Mix) is being released by itself, later today (27th September).

Here's a glimpse of the inside of the 2CD version:

Already up for pre-order on Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B84DFHKH

They used the retouched scan from Odai Afuni from Spice Cycle. I wonder what else are included inside the booklet. I hope they credited him in the booklet.

I didn't expec so many items as for Spice25, so it's fine to get the deluxe CD and few vinyls...

the Cd cover I don't think is the definitive because is not the A5 size it should be, maybe amazon used just a preview or something, also because the inner part looks in right size.

Picture vinyl is good enough.

I understand we can be a bit upset for the tracklist but I really believe thier unreleased tracks are not that good... think about feed your love.

This is all about fans and thier colelctions, not really about music.... still I believe at some point, maybe after Forever 25, we'll be able to get a full album of unreleased tracks and rarities as many other groups do, maybe to celebrate Spice Girls 30th anniversary.

My big wish is to get a proper new album anyway

It blows my mind that they always have to rely on scans of pictures for their official products! Some of the scans in Spice 25 CD booklet were low quality. At least in this case they've used a retouched one, but it's wild that they seemingly don't have access to the originals from the photographers, or that they weren't archived, so that they can use the very best quality. It's a shame. I wonder if it's a case of the original files being lost, or that they are still with the original photographers but Team Spice decide to cut corners and use scans instead of going the extra mile.

That's true, I'm curious about what the A5 cover will look like - if it'll be the metallic looking cover, but in A5 size? Or if that image we have is only for the download/streaming. I'm also wondering which artwork will be used for the 2LP and 1LP vinyl. Could they be using the same image as what they're using for the picture disc art?

Oh we have the answer for this already, courtesy of Amazon Italy:

Now the question is, will it actually be a shiny metallic material that's been used? Or just a digitally rendered background.

The fact they are using fan-made scans rather than the original pictures (some of those are available to purchase/find quite easily online....) just screams that they don't care much about quality...

Plus, one of the fans who submitted the scans was told it was for social media use only and today is the first time he is learning they were actually used for the booklet.. This is really bad practice by all involved...

"Fans who have long been clamoring for a live album to capture the excitement generated by the hugely successful 1998 tour will be delighted to find four previously unreleased live tracks on disc 2, all recorded in different locations"

I can't help but feel that their team is openly taking the mickey out of the fans at this point lol. Delighted?

That's crazy that he wasn't informed that they'd use his work in this way. I mean I know they're not *his* pictures but nevertheless he put in the work and now the label will profit off that work? When if they had any respect for the legacy of this album they're working on, they'd have gone the extra mile to source the original high quality files instead.

Yep slaps in the face all around.

Sure they arent 'his' pictures, but the pictures are available to purchase easily. What they did was they got that fan to re-touch the pictures which took days to do and then used the result as they wish. As far as we know, no credit or payment was done, and they didn't tell him it was going on the book.

It's pretty bad and unprofessional, urgh... This whole thing is sour as hell... Spiceworld deserved much better than this.

Tbf he profits off Spice Girls images in other ways, which technically he shouldn't do. Also lets not judge too much that is only his version of things. I don't think they asked him to do the work he did it himself, they asked for the results of it.

Also social media or booklet, why hand them over if he didn't want them using?

I'm not very sympathetic on this one.

You never are to be honest. Them profitting off free labour isn't right or professional, but you do you Sammy

Wow, I mean, that’s kind of f***ed up.

Whichever way we feel about this particular issue, let's be pleasant to each other while discussing it!

Doesn't look like the launch is coming today on the official store either. Lol, we have the track list, some artwork, it's gone live on Amazon US, and yet there's still no official announcement. Will it be tomorrow? Surely it has to be. They can't drag this out any longer can they? :arrr:

The amount of negativity and entitlement means fans will be lucky to get anything in the future.

This I don't get. Fans have a right to complain, specially after literally decades of the same tripe and they continue to deliver the bare minimum <_<

You never are to be honest. Them profitting off free labour isn't right or professional, but you do you Sammy

He collected the images and restored them to put them together to make a book which he has been selling (I'm sure at a profit) which is all copyright material.

The girls team asked for the pics, to which he happily gave them over. He didn't have to give them over and he was on no leg to sell copyright images to them either.
