Posted November 27, 20213 yr A natural discussion that's coming up a lot in the wake of Krystal winning, who are the weakest winners or ones you just don't get, across the franchise?
November 27, 20213 yr Author The one I would argue is Vanessa from Drag Race Holland 2. She was average at best, or downright awful at worst, at a majority of the challenges imo, including the talent show she somehow got into the top for. Her Snatch Game, Rusical and scripted acting performances were awful and she should have been bottom or the latter two at the very least (and she would have been for the acting had Vivaldi's phone saga not come out). Like if I was judging her track record would be probably SAFE-HIGH-LOW-BTM2-HIGH-BTM2-BTM2 :lol: No shade, she was a very solid looks queen and to be fair did win the finale challenge out of the 3, but nah. I know it's not always about track record, but for someone to do as badly across the board as Vanessa and win just felt wrong, that's the one Drag Race win I genuinely feel was tokenism. As for my least favourites, T*ra goes without saying! I'm also not a Bebe fan at all and controversially I just don't get Lawrence either :whistle:
December 1, 20213 yr Least fave winners for me would be - From the main US season - Bebe, Tyra, Sasha, Aquaria, Yvie, UK - Krystal Holland - Vanessa All Stars - Trinity, Monet Most others I agree with to some degree, I don’t dislike any of these queens either but I’d have preferred at least 2 others to win from each of these seasons !
December 1, 20213 yr Krystal absolutely, Monet I think should have just been 2nd in All Stars like she's good but she's not really at the level you'd expect a winner to be at imo. Violet as well, I think she's alright but meh. Don't hate me but I feel the same about Symone although it wasn't the best season in general tbf. Bebe I didnt take to on all stars, I never made it through all of her season tho. I've not seen any of the international ones except UK ofc, I wasn't keen on The Vivienne either so thank god for Lawrence I suppose :lol: it's a shame covid only gave her a reign of 8 months tho :kink: We don't need to talk about Sharon Needles do we?
December 1, 20213 yr I actually really agree about Symone. Maybe it was the edit but... maybe my pet hate is just look/runway queens who can't sew even something simple to save their lives. Havent really liked anything she's done since either and frankly I don't quite get her. I think she pales in comparison next to Jaida and yet everyone is falling over themselves to give her a huge platform like she's the second coming, Ru included. In my view she could do a funny voice and wasn't a bad overactor, but otherwise just did a lot of walking around in clothes someone gave her. I kinda have that impression of a lot of the season 13 queens though.
December 1, 20213 yr she definitely isn't as strong as gigi! but she was the standout on season 13 by a long way i think.
December 1, 20213 yr My girl Denali deserved better. If she'd been working with Gottmik's budget she'd have left them all in the dust imo. S13 really was a weak season all round though I think.
