Abcdefu hasn’t really taken off as I thought it might since its meteoric rise around the end of November. I guess Christmas really does kill the momentum. Still by far the highest SCR song and presumably the other version is doing enough to cement that.

 

Wham! down to #22 and Ed and Elton #14, so the latter well outperforming the other falling Christmas songs.

 

Snowman also falling less hard than others at #78; fingers crossed for Top 40.

I can totally see Ed getting credited but if that’s the case it should be a thing where our charts become like Billboard where artists get credited on remixes (is Ed’s version a remix if the original has already charted).

 

Hopefully we get some sort of drivers license style unexpected big #1 during January. If Sam Fender is close to #1 in the first January chart then I hope him/his team try and push for the #1. It’s looking like it could be Gayle, Peru and then probably Ed’s Joker and The Queen :lol:

Peru has only got as high as #89 officially, so if the version with Ed is now the most popular and it becomes a proper hit, surely it makes more sense to credit him on it than it would if Beyoncé had been added to Perfect. Even Confetti and Levitating had been Top 40 hits before the more popular versions with DaBaby and Saweetie respectively existed.

Excuse me, Katy Perry & Alesso are clearly coming for a #1 for 9 weeks.
