Finally we see the elusive fan footage… and I absolutely understand why it got cut :kink: Still, nice for those fans to get to see this.

They probably won’t be fans anymore…

It was really interesting! I was under the wrongful impression the video was upscaled somehow. I didn’t realise it was literally recreated scene by scene from old film, imagine how long it must have taken! Explains why we got the few seconds different at the end of One For Sorrow though.

I'm happy that he cared enough to try and get access to the original films (and succeeded!). Clearly a labour of love, and very worth it!

From the 'Bring It All Back' website:

To celebrate 25 years of Steps, we remastered the band's iconic Stomp music video in ultra-high defintion 4K.

The music video was originally shot on 35mm film back in the year 2000, which captured much more detail than was required for TV at the time.

Thankfully, Sony Music had preserved the film canisters in their archive, so the footage could be rescanned from the original film negatives.

We reassembled and regraded the music video to create a crystal clear remaster for fans to enjoy.

One shot of an airport departure board was missing from the film reels, so we rebuilt this using computer animation.

The film reels contained so much unused footage of the band performing their dance routine that we also offered Sony Music a never-before-seen "dance version" of the music video to share with fans.

As part of the remastering process we also found some unused rushes from the music video, which we sent to H from Steps so that he could share his memories and release these unseen moments to the fans.

Interesting r.e. the airport departure board being recreated, it does look different in terms of angle when you compare it to the original but I wouldn't have thought about looking if it hadn't been mentioned.
These have been great to see and I’m enjoying reading the story behind them. I hope we get It’s The Way You Make Me Feel soon.
The next 5,6,7,8 rating game is up and it's the Buzz (International Version) one. It's on their socials but I can't find it on their YouTube page.

Summer Of Love looks to be the next HD video they’ll release.

A live version from Step into Summer 2000 has been uploaded to YouTube.
