January 5, 20223 yr Hi Pete I love what you said about Sigrid's 'Mirror'. It really does have that addictive quality to it where you could easily listen to it again and again. Shame it didn't quite break through to be a top 40 hit. I thought 'Burning Bridges' was even more additive. I hope that's not the last we see of her in the charts! Looking forward to the rest.

This one is quite different anyway (besides the drop which is identical) in the fact that Tokio Hotel (no relation to Tokio Myers as far as I'm aware) are a German band which makes the whole ambiance a little bit deeper-sounding. I didn't think too much of this when I first heard it in the summer but it slowly grew and grew to be just as good as their first two singles (although not in terms of the EOY, where it's the lowest). January 5, 20223 yr Author Hey Pete! Lots I'm unfamiliar with here but I'm a follower of Bowski Island and 'Physical Presence' is a bit of a tune :music: Glad you're enjoying Physical Presence! I was delighted at how well it managed to do in BJSC. Thanks Kath! Sorry for being so late to tune in! Naturally there's too much I don't know for me to listen to them all, but very very happy to see 'Wrecked' here. 'Follow You' did nothing for me either but this one proved they can still make a powerful song, and really brought back my hype for the album, which turned out to be quite good! Whilst I can't say I've heard the album, Wrecked and Easy Come Easy Go were both tunes and definitely pulled it back after Follow You! Thanks Jordan ^_^ Hi Pete I love what you said about Sigrid's 'Mirror'. It really does have that addictive quality to it where you could easily listen to it again and again. Shame it didn't quite break through to be a top 40 hit. I thought 'Burning Bridges' was even more additive. I hope that's not the last we see of her in the charts! Looking forward to the rest. Yes, both definitely deserved a spot in the Top 40, they just have that fantastic quality to them! Thanks Josh ^_^
January 5, 20223 yr I'm just listening to 'Antidote'. The vocals sound very similar to Dermot Kennedy but I'm enjoying it more than anything I've heard from him. It feels like it has a bit more about it.
January 6, 20223 yr I'm just trying out Hot Air Balloon now, it's got a nice late-summer feeling! I'll have to remember it for when the weather gets warmer again

January 6, 20223 yr Hi Pete, Some really good choices here so far, and loads I need to add to my list of songs to check out! Love the orignal of that Miss Li song so I'll make a note to check out the remix. I really quite liked Zuzu's album, her scouse singing accent is very endearing. And good to see KT Tunstall make an appearance too. Edited January 6, 20223 yr by gooddelta

It's a very laid-back song but with the theme of celebrating their mothers. And the music video sull of childhood videos is very sweet as well! Video spImT2GVAOI Commentary I first heard this song in a contest I take part in offsite, during which I thought 'this is nice' but didn't chart it. After a couple of weeks I was looking for new entries for my chart (it was getting stale!) so re-visited this song, added it to my playlist and gave it a modest peak of #97. However Spotify didn't want me to have enough of it and kept playing it on shuffle. Eventually I realised that I enjoyed the song a lot more and it made a grand return, and is still in the Top 40 to date. It's a very nice song with no big kick but works very well.
