Based on the previous match, I am expecting a nail biting time for that one..

As for the other semi-final, hopefully a stronger West Indies side turn up than the last time they faced Australia...

Australia underlined their status as the premier international sports team on the planet by outclassing England to win the Women's World Cup.

The Australians shattered records in Christchurch on their way to adding the 50-over title to the T20 World Cup and Ashes crowns they already hold.

Alyssa Healy crashed an astonishing 170 from 138 balls, the highest score in either a women's or men's World Cup final. Her partnership of 160 with Rachael Haynes and Australia's total of 356-5 are also women's final bests, the latter a record for any team against England.

Joe Root has stepped down as England Test captain, citing the "toll" and "impact" the role has had on him.

The 31-year-old was appointed Sir Alastair Cook's successor in 2017, and holds the record for the highest number of matches and wins as captain.

But his last series as skipper ended in defeat by West Indies, the 10-wicket third Test loss stretching England's winless run to nine matches.

Root initially said he wanted to stay on but now says "the timing is right".

England fast bowler Jofra Archer will miss the entire season after suffering a stress fracture of the lower back.

It is another setback for the 27-year-old, who has not played since last July following two elbow operations.

Archer was on track in his recovery and was hoping to play domestic cricket this month, only to feel soreness in his back last week.

He is also set to miss the T20 World Cup in Australia this autumn, with no timeframe set for his return.

It must be a massive blow to him, to have all that potential but continuing to be plagued with injuries. Here's hoping he'll be able to recover as quickly as possible.
