A masterful innings from Laura Wolvaardt guided Northern Superchargers to the highest chase in the women's Hundred and a seven-wicket win in an enthralling encounter against Manchester Originals.

Wolvaardt, moved up to open after Jemimah Rodrigues' departure, finished unbeaten on 91 off 49 balls as Superchargers chased 161 with one ball to spare.

They needed 11 from the final five balls but a Deandra Dottin no-ball, followed by a missed run out opportunity, allowed Superchargers to get over the line for their second win.

Earlier Originals made 160-3 with Dottin smashing an incredible 68 off 30 balls, while she was ably supported by Sophie Ecclestone, who made 24 off 17 balls.

Originals have now only won one of their four games, and are all-but eliminated.

Robinson, who replaces Matthew Potts, has not played for England since the fifth Ashes Test in January.

Captain Ben Stokes said Robinson, 28, has been chosen to exploit the greater amount of bounce expected from the pitch in Manchester.

England completed their remarkable summer with a series-clinching nine-wicket victory over South Africa at the Kia Oval.

The home side took only 25 minutes to hit the 33 runs they needed for victory on the fifth morning of the third and deciding Test.

Zak Crawley ended 69 not out, with Ollie Pope unbeaten on 11 after Alex Lees was lbw on review to Kagiso Rabada for 39.

With the match reduced to three days, they did well to get a result.

That's 6 wins out of 7 this summer, good progress is being made. We'll see how they get on when they play Pakistan away next. That might be a bit more difficult.

Yorkshire have agreed compensation with former coach Andrew Gale and ex-bowling coach Richard Pyrah following their sackings last year.

The pair were among 16 members of staff sacked in December in the fallout from the Azeem Rafiq racism scandal.

Gale, 38, spent his entire playing career at Yorkshire and was captain and coach during Rafiq's time at the club.

The compensation package comes after Gale and Pyrah won a claim for unfair dismissal in June.

Plans to dramatise cricketer Shane Warne's life in a telemovie only months after his death are "beyond disrespectful", his eldest daughter says.

Australia's Nine Network - where Warne worked as a commentator for over 20 years - reportedly began work on the project weeks after his death in March.

It says the two-part film, called Warnie, will be a fitting tribute.

But his family and friends say the show is insensitive and want it scrapped.

Their motives seem to be right with this film, but they do need to take into account the views of those who were close to him. Maybe a few years time would be a little more appropriate.
