amazing for Carreno-Busta in Montreal for men and Halep in Toronto for ladies

also Halep flies up into the top 10 at #6

Great to have Halep back in the top 10, someone who feels worthy of being near the top of the rankings.

Raducanu and Serena are first round in Cincinnati, that'll be interesting :D Can't be mad at whoever wins.

Youth should win as Serena basically cannot run anymore sadly :/
yes, that Brazilian girl paying against Halep has lots of potential too

The highly anticipated first-round match between Serena Williams and Emma Raducanu at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati was abruptly postponed from Monday to Tuesday, frustrating fans who had spent considerable money and travelled to the event to watch the match.
Emma destroyed Serena with a 6-0 in set 2, didn't watch the game cos it was too late
can't recall last time I saw a tennis player playing as bad as Azarenka did today
Wonder if this will be the start of a run for Emma, or just luck?
Really hope this will be a run of good form for her! It's looking promising so far at least.

Yeah hopefully it is. She is going to have a lot of expectation on her at the US Open (hopefully the media won't attack her if she goes out early)

it's like if something clicks when she reaches Aug/Sep :D if only she'd played like this all year

I didn't see the Serena match due to the time it was on but I think Serena is pretty easy to beat these days unfortunately, and I think Emma did play well against Azarenka but also Azarenka was really bad yesterday so I can't tell if this is the start of good form. But this is two consecutive tournaments where she's won back-to-back matches at least, something she's not managed at a Slam so far this year.

During the disappointments of this year I've just kept up hope that maybe she'll just be an amazing New York player :P

well, 1 month playing great+11 months playing shit is better than 12 months playing shit :D

Nadal also lost yesterday, clearly out of shape...

Raducanu lost yesterday with Pegula but was too late to watch

All the top lost actually, Swiatek seems to be playing terribly lately, which is surprising considering how well she did earlier in the year

Looks like Norrie beat Alcaraz for the first time in four meetings last night :o New career high on the way for him next week :D
