January 12, 20223 yr Yep. That's the order for me. I do like all 4 album tracks on True Blue (even Jimmy Jimmy) but Where's the Party just goes off!! With the 5 singles it was a very strong album.

WTP is the obvious #1 but then I had Love Makes the World Go Round second and then Jimmy Jimmy next oops. But tbf, I love all the songs on this album so I can't complain and would be happy no matter what happens :rofl: I hope they smash the next round too!

January 14, 20223 yr Author I had Promise to Try at #1 and Till Death at #2 in my rankings but it's a great top 3 whatever the order! (And an awful bottom 2 x)
January 14, 20223 yr That was my order for Like a Prayer too, so happy with that. Didn't know so many others had the same dislike of Love Song. I think, for me, it's that two of the biggest stars in the world at the time - Madonna and Prince - came together for a collaboration and that was what they came up with. You would think that if they were going to release something together it would have been in consideration for a single, maybe even the lead... but I would imagine the record company would have though, "Nah... album track." Promise to Try is beautiful, but Til Death pips it as just a great pop song, even if it is about a difficult time in Madonna's marriage to Sean Penn.

January 16, 20223 yr That's a good Top 3 from Erotica. It's such a good album, which I probably enjoy a lot more now than at the time. I think I always blamed it for the downturn in Madonna's popularity, but now I realise it suffered from the backlash of the Sex book.

January 17, 20223 yr I put Sanctuary and Survival as my Top 2, so that's good. Forbidden Love was also in my Top 5, so okay with that one too. I think Survival sends the tone of the album well as its opener, but Sanctuary is just the stand out of the album tracks for me - and better than Secret and possibly rivalling both Bedtime Story and Take a Bow.
