wasn't Florence's Spectrum (Say my Name) just Spectrum first, at least on the album release?

Yep, but the single/remix version was always billed as that and wasn't changed after its release.

I hope this doesn't now set a precedent of titles being pointlessly changed.

This isn't the first time it's happened this year (Oden & Fatzo's 'Lauren' got changed to 'Lauren (I Can't Stay Forever)'). Also reminds me of the YouTube upload of 'Don't Need Love' by 220 KID being subtitled '(Swipe Left, Swipe Right)' although that didn't make it onto streaming platforms. I assume there must be some people trying to find the song by searching 'Tiger Lily' for them to have done this as weird as it looks.
Ellie Gouldings cover of 'River' is also now known as 'River (Its Coming on Christmas). Just a new method to produce more streams I take it

I’ve started to get this song stuck in my head, more prominently the first line: ‘Tiger Lily moved to the city she just turned 21’

I think this is one of my favourite songs by him!

The acoustic version of 'Anyone for You' is out now.

Yeah for me the verses are actually catchier than the chorus.

RIP my last.fm! I would kinda get it if the “Tiger Lily” line had gone viral on TikTok, but it hasn’t...

Now changed again on Spotify to have brackets. Last.fm now has three versions in my history ugh

You should upgrade to Last.fm Pro. :kink:

Anyway, I was wondering why Tiger Lily was suddenly added in brackets to the title of the song...

Because Columbia are desperate to make it a hit. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to postpone the album release...

yes I wouldn't call it desperate, I'd call it smart if something
For me it just makes a complete mockery of artistic integrity, because the artist wasn't intending for it to be presented this way.

This.

It's not for the record label to decide. It's the songwriters' call.
