RHCP have begun teasing new music! Their upcoming album will be their 12th, following on from 2016's 'The Getaway'. It'll also be guitarist John Frusciante's first album with the band since 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium'!

Definitely overdue a new album from them!

Looking forward to hearing the new single. I loved Dark Necessities as their last lead single so big shoes to fill in that respect.

new album is called Unlimited Love coming on April 1st
Some of their 90 and 00 stuff is class, not sure what radio station would play them these days, radio 1 is too young and R2 might be to MOR for that sound, maybe just 6 Music?

Better start on Spotify than I was expecting for this. Should at least have a chance of out-peaking Dark Necessities horribly low #72 peak in 2016.

It's a shame Dani California couldn't hold on to its midweek #1 position, they deserve at least one to their name with so many classics.

Under the Bridge should have been a #1... but the All Sanits version got there instead... the original didn't even go top 10 I think

Under The Bridge is definitely #1 worthy, I only mentioned Dani California because it was the one that got closest. By The Way was a #2 as well but I don't think it was a midweek #1.

All Saints version of Under The Bridge is erm... not great to say the least.

Really enjoying black summer its a great start for the album, the album should easily land them another number 1.
Even though it’s classic RHCPs it’s not a sound we are used to in the chart these days so sounds fresh!
This is sounding really neat on first listen. Good to have them back to their signature sound although I quite liked some of their 2016 material too.

was checking their discography and actually Under the Bridge on original release only charted at #26

then Give it away became a top 10 for them and after that, Under the Bridge was re-released and made it to #13 this time

in the US it's their biggest hit at #2, and they had never had a #1 in the US either

Suppose the 2000s efforts did so well because 1) they were good and 2) they were massive by that stage!
