Max how long the Super Bowl songs have lasted, maybe the new generations haven’t heard the songs as much as I have!
thought no one cared about the Super Bowl in the UK?
The Super Bowl game itself doesn't seem like that big a deal here but the halftime show is usually a viral moment regardless.
I find typically with rebounds like this, songs that amass big daily figures prior tend to stick the landing a little slower, in part because their streaming equilibrium is probably already close to the chart, and perhaps in part because they're proven to be streaming gold and likely to go into regular rotation. "Still D.R.E." has over 800 million plays on Spotify so it's one of the biggest songs of the '90s period.

did it have an effect last week for The Weeknd?

cannot recall any effect on previous years like when Maroon 5 performed or

J Lo & Shakira?

Strange how Still Dre was not much of a hit at all when it was released. Hardly charted at all in the US (where I presumed it would have been a massive hit as the US is more rap orientiated) and wasn't that big of a hit in the UK either. I'd say if it was released today it would be a 10+ week number 1 with massive strraming.

I am 30 and I don't remember 'Still Dre' from the time, obviously I know it well now because it has re-entered the UK itunes chart quite a few times over the last 12 years.

The Next Episode I do remember from the time though, because of the distinctive instrumental.

The Dre album was huge among my friends at the time!

Don’t quote me on this but ‘save Your Tears’ became huge last year and this may have helped?

Save Your Tears rose 3 places to #31 in the week the Super Bowl happened and then climbed to #15 the week after. Blinding Lights was up 6 to #20 that week, while The Highlights debuted at #2, After Hours climbed 43-19 and Beauty Behind the Madness re-entered at #60 in the album chart.
Was Still DRE not pretty big here, Top 5 I thought? I remember it being released as part of a double act - Guilty Conscience by Eminem feat. Dre and Still DRE by Dre feat. Eminem. Could have sworn they both charted well inside the Top 10. Or am I having a total memory fail?😅
Cancel all of the above, I'm thinking of Forgot About Dre aren't I 🤦‍♂️
I blame him for using his own name in multiple song titles
‘Beg For You’ up to 19 on Apple which is giving it huge support near top of all the pop playlists!

Biggest shock for me on Apple is Sigala-Melody being #20

on Apple, Bad Habits BMTH Remix down to #97

on Amazon:

11 Sweet Talker

20 Light Switch

23 Ruth B-Dandelions, whats this???

39 Mimi - House on fire

40 Ezra - Anyone for you

41 Jax Jones & MNEK

52 Dove - Boyfriend

61 Labrinth - Mount Everest

The Joker and the Thief duet down to #95 with the original at #50

“Dandelions” is a TikTok song, it’s been in the low ends of the Spotify top 200 too.

She previously had a song “Lost Boy” get to #97 in 2016.

I don’t think you’re having a memory fail at all.

Guilty Conscience #5 in 1999

Still DRE #6 in 2000

Forgot About Dre #7 later in 2000

Still Dre is not Dr Dre ft Eminem but featuring Snoop Dogg instead
