January 7Jan 7 PC Craig Tinker leaving in summer. Apparently not his choice. His contract not renewed.
January 8Jan 8 Monday's episode was incredible, one of the best soap episodes I've ever seen. Huge props to Luca Toolan, Sydney Martin, Vicky Myers, Sally Carman, Joe Duttine, Sally Dynevor and everyone else involved in such a powerful episode. I really warmed to Mason recently which made the impact of the stabbing even harder to watch. An important message portrayed so well.
January 8Jan 8 That's a real blow, she's one of the best things about the show. Fair enough that it's her choice though, fingers crossed we'll see her pop up in other stuff.
January 13Jan 13 Rumour circulating Jenny has been axed which if true is an awful decision by those in charge.
January 13Jan 13 Another one bites the dust... https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/32783587/corona...bar_app_article Yasmeen Metcalfe has quit
January 14Jan 14 I wish they'd do something about the storylines, it feels more like watching the Bill/Casualty lately. I read somewhere that the inside of the cabin hasn't been shown in over a year.
January 15Jan 15 What is going on  I really wish Gemma and Bernie would go. Miserable Lauren too.
January 16Jan 16 …and another one https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/much-lo...dy-34488720.amp Didnt expect that one for some reason, They can deny it all they want but something serious has to be going on behind the scenes at the moment.
January 16Jan 16 I know it looks bad but most of these (apparently) confirmed they wanted to leave between 9-12 months ago or whenever their last contract was coming to an end. So it’s not like they’ve all just quit one after the other in the space of a fortnighr!

Emmerdale is basically doing the same thing rn as well, a few axed and some left, I am assuming it’s ITV trying to save money as a whole as opposed to just Corrie
January 19Jan 19 Is this really in crisis?? I knew the Xmas ratings had been low for years, but wow!! They need to cut the number of epiaodes. 3x a week! Let people keep up to date with it. What is going on  I really wish Gemma and Bernie would go. Miserable Lauren too. Gemma is atrocious!!! Monday's episode was incredible, one of the best soap episodes I've ever seen. January 20Jan 20 How was the woman in prison with Lauren able to go to watch her in court, I’m so lost.
February 4Feb 4 From 2026, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air Monday to Friday, at 8pm and 8:30pm respectively, each in a 30 minute slot. Effectively this means half an hour less of each soap per week but this is just what Corrie in particular needs, and going back to the 30 minute episodes will be a very positive move.

Definitely needed, the episodes feel so long sometimes at the minute. Last night's Coronation Street appears to be universally disliked too, not seen many positive comments. Huge fire and explosion on the street yet a maximum of probably 10 characters was on the street to experience it.
