Dua is hardly a guarantee of a massive first week, let's not forget that her last new single as lead artist debuted and peaked at #25. (The fact that song was garbage didn't help but still x)

 

With how well Dave is holding up so far I would be surprised if Megan/Dua was big enough to debut at #1 even if the song is well received.

 

Unrelated: 'BMW' has dropped again today even with returning to Hot Hits. #23 still feels too high for it though.

She's had a top three as lead artist before so with Dua's name attached I don't see why it couldn't challenge for number one - I guess it just depends on how good a song it is.

 

didn't savage only go top 3 after the beyonce remix? regardless she's become fairly big in the uk, defo not as big as doja, but i feel like especially with duas name power it could defo be at least a top 3, maybe even a #1!

I wish "Love Again" had been the first single from the deluxe edition. It waa actually really good....

If you take into account how little Lost Freq/Peru/Belters are doing on Spotify, barely 200K a day, Dua/Megan should at least be #2

at first I thought #1 was a given but Dave is holding up very well

'Savage' was already a top 20 hit before the remix dropped but yeah it was the remix that pushed it to its peak.

 

Megan's album only charted for a single week at #46 though and that was after 'Savage' and 'WAP' so I think it's fairly safe to say those were just isolated huge songs rather than being indicative of Megan being a name many people in the UK care about. She is a much bigger deal in the US of course but she's had plenty of fairly big hits there that have either made no noise at all in the UK or only become minor hits ('Body' and 'Thot Shit').

No matter how many times you repeat that, it doesn't make it true.

Tion Wayne and M24's 'Knock Knock' has a remix out now - it features HAZEY so our first opportunity to see if anyone cares about HAZEY outside of that one verse. Other features are Sneakbo, Turner, MIST, Jordan and Trillz CB.
