Comedy was on point in tonight's episode. Suki vs. Stacey, Sonia filling in Reiss about Keanu vs. Ben and Lisa shooting Phil, Stacey's "can you check Arthur's jungle project to make sure he hasn't drawn any willies on the warthogs". :lol: Who said EastEnders couldn't be funny?

Is anyone else a little underwhelmed at Lisa's return? It feels so random and out of place for her to just 'pop back from Portugal for revenge'. The story isn't making me warm to Keanu either, he needs more depth to him than just being Sharon's fiance who occasionally cares about his kids.

Lisa is a character that i always feels needs a few weeks to settle in, this somehow feels a little rushed but i do like having her back. With Keanu and Sharon, as a couple its hard to know their future direction together, i always feel there is a build up to Sharon and Phil getting back together which i dont want.

Return confirmed for

Graham Foster, Freddie's father. Also looks like Lola's mum Emma will be back.

Interesting choice for a return, I guess they still can’t get Kacey Ainsworth back which is a huge shame.

 

Lisa’s return was a bit disappointing as I love her character. I just think Keanu never comes across sincere, I don’t think the actor is up to much. He’s suddenly barging around like father of the year after abandoning his children for 3 years. I also don’t buy him and Sharon as a couple anymore. They were fun when it was an affair but he’s just on loop letting her down. Plus he barely interacts with the rest of the Taylors.

So who do we think Sharon's marrying with her being in her wedding dress during the flashforward? I'm guessing Phil.

I know he’s covered himself with tricks but exactly why hasn’t Stacey or Eve suspected creepy Theo as the stalker yet. His general behaviour has been bizarre for ages.

Awful news that

is being written out.

 

 

Whitney

has announced she is leaving too.

Really disagree with who's been written out but am happy with the character who decided to leave.

Feels like the right time for both now.

 

 

Karen has been such a supporting character of late, I actually can't remember the last time she was ever given something that was just focused on her. And as for Whitney, she's pretty much had her biggest storyline to date and with a character that's had so much heartache what else is there to do? Maybe she'll be back one day and can start afresh

 

I don’t think either of those are huge losses tbh.

 

 

Shona is a great actress and needs to spread her wings. The writing for Whitney has been appalling for at least a decade now.

 

As for Karen, she’s had her moments but ultimately she’s been a lame stereotype for the most part and I always feel like the acting falls flat whenever she has to do an emotional scene. Hopefully this means Keanu can go to. But let’s keep Bernie.

 

I have a feeling more axings will be announced as I'd say Chris has moved onto work with his plans for the next phase of the show.

Eh. Shame one is going, as she is comic relief, like Big Mo, which is what creates the heart of the show. Other can go. Hope Keanu goes. Awful actor.amd even worse character.

I wouldn't be surprised if little Cindy will probably come back at some point, she be about mid 20's by now surely, probably another re-cast there.
