How people view tv has changed so much, we know the soaps wont be reaching 10 million again but we also have to wait for all the catch up ratings to come through.

Regarding the storyline i do feel its likely one of the 6 is going to be leaving in the next 12-18 months so its likely this will be their exit, out of the 6 involved i would think Suki is the most likely to leave but for now i hope they can pin it on Dean in some way and he goes down for it.

I'm not sure this is working as a viewer... The hype was wonderful to see unfold on screen but now it's happened it's an absolute mess. There's too many of them involved! These secret meets in the back of the Vic! (2 in one episode )

 Those secret meetings!! T he build-up and Christmas episode were both great, but yeah, all the police interviews and the whole mess afterwards isn't the best!! It would have been simpler and less convoluted without the dropped call I think. Then again, the whole thing is playing out as xomedy tragedy, so this might be the point

Honestly I'm kinda loving how camp it is, the secret meetings are giving traitors vibes

I don't even care if it's a bit messy they can take it in whichever direction they want, make it as chaotic as they want and it will still be entertaining. They've picked 5 great characters to centre in this (plus Kathy) x

Is it even messy though? Of course it was never going to be smooth sailing for the Six. I’m sure once Rocky is dealt with, another threat will loom. Nish waking probably and then possibly Dean revealing he’s seen something or one of them confiding in someone they think they can trust. I’m living for all the drama tbh.

Also I love how Kathy’s acting appears to be on par with Gillian Taylforth’s

I don't think it's that bad (except for Kathy) but then you can argue it's a natural way for that character to be acting in these circumstances, they've got to have several moving parts, this storyline is going to lead into a lot of other ones for each of the women involved and will probably take us through to next Christmas

The posts on twitter and tiktok about it are absolutely sending me, this is what soaps are all about imo, it's got to be melodramatic and a bit ridiculous

Kathy's definitely the weak link! She's the last person I would want to be with durin a crisis too.

I'm going to say it now, I don't like drunka Linda and today's episode adds fuel to that fire. Whilst I enjoyed her spat with Gina at the start, that was about it. I'm sure playing drunk when you're not drunk comes naturally to some and not others.

Funny point when Linda said 'where's Sharon?' today. I've been asking myself that question since Wednesday. Why kill off Keanu and then give Sharon barely any screen time?? Appreciate if Letitia was having a break or whatever but some timing perhaps would help the playout of this story I guess. Surprised we've had no Jack and no Phil either since Monday! Phil finds out he's got a son and all of a sudden here's not here and instead we have to endure Whitney/Zack play happy families for all of 3 days *shrug*. I'm sure it all picks up eventually but the opportunities are there to explore the character impact these stories have but it's somewhat lacking.

Are we to believe

that was Rocky's exit tonight? A shame Brian quit the role really as he was actually an enjoyable character. Delivering a joke before bursting into tears at the end of the ep felt sad but also encapsulates the character he was.

I think its messy... but then I think its meant to be. They're 6 'normal' people (or as normal as EE characters go) - they aren't Phil Mitchell, or professionals, so its going to be messy and all over the place as they try and keep everything together. Their story basically changed by the scene in the boxing day episode as events spiralled even more. I'm kinda loving it really - especially Denise basically looking out for herself at all costs :D Also Suki cutting off all emotion to it and just being so cut-throat about Rocky etc is great.

I've been re-watching/ watching Brookside the last few years and recently watched the Jordache's hiding the body under the patio - that was messy af as well, with Mandy and Beth's story changing by the scene as well and their plan having to adapt as various things were thrown at them.

Its obviously all going to come out eventually - no doubt in the 40th, but i'm enjoying the chaos at the moment.

Also the Nugget/ Suki scenes have been good this week as well (and I'm not even a Nugget fan).

I've said it before but I think Davinder is one to watch. When given a good scene Juhaim can really run with it which is great to see in such a young actor. I always enjoy his and Suki's scenes together

I agree that Nugget has a lot of potential, he was really grating on me, constantly throwing tantrums etc but seeing more of his relationship with Suki has been really nice to see and has given me hope that they'll give him a heavier storyline that he can really shine through in 2024.

I realllllly cannot stand Elaine, this is the most criminal recast I've ever seen I think. I really disliked Gina at first, then I warmed up to her a bit but now she's firmly among my least favourite characters, it just doesn't make sense for her to be as infatuated with Dean as she is.

I will also agree that drunk Linda isn't my favourite either but she was always going to relapse as part of the murder storyline, I just hope they don't drag that element out as it's something we've seen so much of before. Idk why they don't bring back all of the carter kids, even recasted. It doesn't make sense that theyd still be gone, especially since Mick went missing etc. hoping for good things from

the Johnny return

though, I do miss Nancy.

Exit apparently for

Ben Mitchell. Make way for Johnny and Callum to happen please

Oh that's surprising!

Max Bowden is great in the role, hopefully they leave the door open for him to come back, I wonder if that would mean an exit for other characters too though? It would be a bit odd for Callum to stay behind unless something happened, not to mention Lexi.

Between that utter troglodyte and the other utter troglodyte of Keanu leaving, EE is getting rid of two of its most odious characters, one after the other!!! Max, Jack, and Nish next please.
Max isn't in it anymore and Nish is a fantastic character, I wouldn't miss Jack if he were to go but they have destroyed his character basically since Ronnie died which is a shame.
