Stop rehashing the 80s unless it’s the Yearbooks. Focus more on the 90s and 00s. Those decades seem to be shelved
It’s supposed to be 80s but they’re forgetting that "Pop Muzik", "The Number One Song In Heaven", "Cars" and "Video Killed The Radio Star" are all 70s

It’s a shame but I don’t really blame them if that’s where the money is.

I was really disappointed to see that Now Pride - despite getting to No.1 - only sold about 2.5k on its first week then dropped straight to No.11.

It had such a great curation and tracklist but the generic 80s ones do seem to sell far better and stay at the top of the charts for longer.

Then again, Now Timeless has done pretty well, it came out nearly two months back and is still top ten on the compilation chart and top five on iTunes.

When NOW 113 is due for release in November, they should do a competition to see who can compile the best tracklist and the winner will have their tracklist as the NOW 113 tracklist

And the winner will be their own team who are paid to do that and know what songs are available

Plus I doubt they give any thought to the quality or what order the songs are in, just as long as the “big names” come first like George Ezra and Lady Gaga. :kink:

Where did they say it was 80s only in their post? It was Wardy that said it :kink:

Just linking back to this very interesting article about the curation of Now 100 in 2018, which I come back to quite often.

They have a really unenviable job putting these together, often due to licensing which according to this article can be guesswork what will be cleared in time so they have to play it a bit safe. So while the fanmade tracklists are all often superior to the official product, obviously fans don't have the knowledge of what will end up being available. My main issue with Now 112 is not really what's not included as they can't help that - I'm sure they do try to get as many hits as they can, but the sequencing at the top of the album, which is quite random this time. With the same tracks I'd have just made a few small tweaks which to me would have made it more listenable and made it looks less haphazard.

Disc 1

1 Afraid to Feel - LF System I think it was pretty clear this was going to be the big dance song of the summer a few weeks ago, I'd have taken a chance on it to open

2 SPACE MAN - Sam Ryder

3 Green Green Grass - George Ezra I do wonder if George's label did some sort of placement deal to get the opening track - Anyone For You was curiously high on Now 111 too. Presumably though, as Wardy says, it's just because he's the biggest name on the disc

4 About Damn Time - Lizzo

5 Bam Bam (Feat. Ed Sheeran) - Camila Cabello

6 Crazy What Love Can Do - David Guetta x Becky Hill x Ella Henderson

7 IFTK - Tion Wayne x La Roux

8 BMW - Bad Boy Chiller Crew

9 Potion - Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa & Young Thug

10 Big Energy - Latto

11 Don't Forget My Love - Diplo & Miguel

12 Stay the Night - Sigala & Talia Mar

13 Good Luck - Mabel, Jax Jones & Galantis

14 Maybe You're the Problem - Ava Max

15 Hard 2 Forget - Steps

16 When You're Gone - Shawn Mendes

17 In the Stars - Benson Boone

18 Love Me More - Sam Smith

19 Through the Echoes - Paolo Nutini

20 My Love - Florence + The Machine

21 Like a Prayer - Miley Cyrus

22 Bad Life - Sigrid & Bring Me The Horizon

23 SUPERMODEL - Måneskin

24 Stefania (Kalush Orchestra) - Kalush Orchestra

Disc 2

1 First Class - Jack Harlow

2 Baby - Aitch & Ashanti This is curiously far down the official tracklist

3 21 Reasons (Feat. Ella Henderson) - Nathan Dawe

4 The Joker and the Queen - Ed Sheeran

5 Hold My Hand - Lady Gaga Nice song but not an opening song, maybe the label would only give it if it was

6 Run - Becky Hill & Galantis

7 Mixed Emotions - Chase & Status

8 Night Away (Dance) - A1 x J1 & Tion Wayne

9 Charmer - N-Dubz

10 Honest - Justin Bieber & Don Toliver

11 Cooped Up (Feat. Roddy Rich) - Post Malone

12 Thousand Miles - The Kid LAROI

13 Remind Me - Tom Grennan

14 Getting Started - Sam Fender

15 Something to Someone - Dermot Kennedy

16 Better Days - Liam Gallagher

17 Questions - Lost Frequencies & James Arthur

18 Goodbye - Mimi Webb

19 Flowers - Lauren Spencer-Smith

20 Colours of You - Baby Queen

21 All for You - Cian Ducrot

22 Go (Feat. Sam Smith) - Cat Burns not sure why this is necessary at all though - I understood Save Your Tears because the Ariana version was a hit...

23 You Only Want Me - Mark Owen

24 Gold Forever - For Tom - The Wanted

SPACE MAN in the advert *.* Potion doesn't sound out of place there, I'm really surprised it hasn't been a bigger hit.

Judging by the calculations, there was space on disc 1 for one more song even if the full version of Florence + The Machine was included

:w00t:

9 to 5 came out a year leater

According to Wikipedia, it was released in 1980. But NOW do sometimes get their years mixed up
