It's so odd that 'Chain Reaction' hasn't been added to the 86 Yearbook, Extra, or even the NOW Dance - 80s albums.

Exactly, when Diana Ross normally appears on NOW spin-offs and Upside Down appeared on NOW Yearbook 1980. If Erasure are on the re-release of NOW 14, then why omit them from 1986 unless they’ll use it for 1987. And which artists on my list you think won’t license their songs?

Just an outside thought but maybe they saved one or two well known songs to include on another "Final Chapter" release when they get to summarise 1985-1989? But that release would be over a year away based on current timescales to complete the entire 80’s era, and I’m not convinced they are done with the 1970’s as it does feel a bit odd to start this series at 1979…
A bit odd to include "When Tomorrow Comes" for Eurythmics. They should’ve included either "It’s Alright (Baby’s Coming Back)" or "The Miracle Of Love" as both songs peaked higher than WTC. In other news, no sign of the NOW 114 tracklist

No sign of the NOW 114 tracklist. Hopefully, we get it tomorrow or I don’t know if they’ll go back to revealing it two week prior instead of three weeks prior

Probably waiting to see what the new Calvin Harris single is like, or Ed Sheeran in the wings? Either way I’m prepared to be disappointed by the omissions and puzzled with some inclusions as per usual when the official tracklist is revealed soon.

I’m expecting Calvin and Ed to be saved for NOW 115. NOW 108 was the last NOW to have its tracklist revealed two weeks prior to its release date. Since NOW 109, the tracklists have been revealed three weeks prior to its release dates. I wonder if they’re gonna go back to revealing the tracklists two weeks prior to release date. I hope not

I wonder how long they can continue releasing three albums a year, getting hold of the licensing for all of these new songs and then barely scraping silver can't be a very profitable endeavour for them. Especially when the Yearbooks have been doing so well with all the much cheaper to license 80s songs (and the ability to sell those on expensive vinyl).

I doubt they'd stop the numbered series completely but they might move to two editions a year at some point perhaps, to maximise the number of hits on each and make the tracklists stronger in the hope of selling more.

Well maybe they should start releasing the numbered editions on vinyl to help with their declining sales and I hope they don’t knock it down to two a year like they did in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990 and 1991. They could switch to the American format and release four single disc editions a year but that’s the equivalent of two UK releases a year

Will people actually want to buy the new ones on vinyl though? They aren’t cheap to produce either.

They probably would if it was vinyl and especially if the tracklists were full and not partial like they do with the spin-offs. NOW 35 which is the last numbered NOW to be released on vinyl sells on eBay between £100 and £200

Aren’t lead times for vinyl ridiculously long too at the moment? Must be hard, if not impossible, to arrange if tracklists are only being finalised a few weeks before release.

I would imagine with the Yearbooks they’ve already got the next two or three on the production lines, the details just remain under embargo for months.

I just hope that if they don’t reveal the tracklist this week that they go back to revealing the tracklist two weeks prior to the release date like they did with NOW 108

I’d rather the tracklist reveal is better late than never

And I’d rather this thread didn’t keep getting unnecessarily bumped every time you express this. Can you just wait quietly for the tracklist to be revealed like the rest of us please.

If this is true, then that breaks their tradition of releasing the spring NOWs a week before Easter apart from NOW 17 in 1990 for some unknown reason and NOW 105 in 2020 due to unfortunate circumstances
I'd say given that Miley is not mentioned on the cover, she won't be on there which will be a shame, obviously the record company don't want to issue the rights to 'Flowers' just yet and may well keep it for 115.
