They’re doing on 111 what they did with 102: being anti-urban and including loads of R2 artists which no one really cares about. They should replace them with artists such as Becky Hill and Dove Cameron etc

“Which no one really cares about”

I’m sure the demographic of NOW albums these days do! Westlife and Kylie Minogue are going to be much bigger draws than Dove Cameron.

It's probably best they aren't adding more urban acts on it because it can put people off the album. I think NOW 101 tried to include a collection of urban hits and the album didn't sell well.

But if someone like Stormzy, KSI or Lil Nas X have hits between now and the next volume they are likely to feature, and all are different styles of “urban” too.

But the majority of urban artists who had the opportunity to appear on 111 don’t appear on there ie. Aitch, SwitchOTR, Russ Millions, A1 x J1

We don’t talk about Bruno 80’s spin off compilations anymore.

They’re seriously milking the 80s. They shouldn’t have done a NOW Yearbook 1982 as they are meant to be about when NOW was out and it wasn’t out in 1982. They should focus more on 90s and 00s

Really? You think?

Yes. We get 90s compilations once in a blue moon and we barely get any 00s compilations

They should scrap the spin-offs and the extra yearbook and just focus on yearbook but with 7 discs instead of 4
Who on Earth makes a 7 disc compilation album? That would be pretty pricey to make and sell which would freeze a lot of fans out of purchasing it.

Exactly, that’s why they have sold the main yearbook volumes with 4 discs for a standard price then the “extra” release with a further 3 discs, averaging 140 tracks across both releases.

I do agree that more effort should go into moving forward with the yearbooks and securing rights to 90’s and 00’s tracks that can be saved for future releases.

Been having a think too about the next main release, Now 112, and I think they will look to get one of Ed Sheehan’s hits from = as opposed to anything newer which will likely be harder to license, so anticipating either forgotten hits Overpass Graffiti or The Joker & The Queen to get late adds on that volume to keep Ed fans happy.

Another record is very close to being broken for those interested like me…

Robbie Williams is currently the most featured artist (as a solo artist and not with Take That) in the entire Now series, having managed to achieve 31 different songs credited to his name. His last appearance however was on Now 100 with a repeated track for Angels but nothing since then…

Kylie Minogue though has been quietly adding more features to the Now series, and thanks to another on Now 111 she now has a total of 30 different songs credited to her name. So she is just one more feature away from equalling Robbie’s record.

Do we think she can do it? :o

Kylie and Robbie would be tying for most appearances had they included the UK version of Taio Cruz's "Higher" on NOW 78 instead of the US version

Having taken a break of about 4 years since I last did my own Now Reviews (which ended abruptly at Now 98), I have now resumed service and restart from Now 99 which you can vote for and review here;
