For the 411, they should’ve included Dumb instead of On My Knees as the former peaked higher. Unwritten could’ve been included on there as well as These Words but they decided to include These Words only instead. I’m surprised Mysterious Girl ain’t on there as it peaked in 2004 but saying that, they might include it whenever they release Now Yearbook 1996. And as for Girls Aloud, I’d rather they included Wake Me Up instead of Biology as the latter appears more frequently on compilations

Now Millennium 2004-2005 due for release on 1st March. Quite a decent selection of songs which rarely appear but shame there’s no Gwen Stefani or U2 who were big in both 2004 and 2005 and I also hope that May or June, we get Now Millennium 2006-2007 but for now, here’s the tracklist https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CTBNNWP2/

First time in ages that Crazy Frog and O-Zone has appeared on a NOW.

Also, I find it weird that they included the non-Busta version of Don't Cha which that version appeared on NOW 40 Years - Volume 3: '03-'13.

They tend to include Don’t Cha either with or without Busta. Not like Price Tag where they always include it without B.o.B or Blurred Lines without T.I. and as for Pussycat Dolls, it would’ve been better if they included Stickwitu instead of Don’t Cha for a change and on Now Millennium 2006-2007, I expect Beep to be included on disc 1 or 2

I wonder if they'll include either Maneater or Promiscuous for Nelly Furatado in 2006?

More likely Maneater as it charted higher than Promiscuous

Jesus Horatio Christ. Once again the Now compilers playing hard and fast with what was actually a big hit in 2004 / 2005. Under what possible circumstances were those Duran Duran / Eurythmics singles massive hits? It's bad enough that on '02 - '03 we get an Annie Lennox single off an album that had no singles (at least not in the UK) and a John Meyer track that didn't even make the top 40. What next, Lou Bega "I Got A Girl" instead of "Mambo No. 5" when they eventually get round to doing 1999 editions? (And don't even get me started on how they'll use the wrong versions of "9PM (Till I Come)" and "That Don't Impress Me Much" when the time comes as well. Luddites)
As Now Millennium 2004-2005 is being released on 1st March, I hope the release schedule for March goes like this; Now 12" 80s 1982 Part 2 on 8th March, Now Yearbook Extra 1990 on 15th March and Now 117 on 22nd March

Good to see This Love finally make a Now, I was convinced they include She Will Be Loved as usual.

Very bizarre tracklist though, definitely the weakest one yet. So many good songs to choose from but they continue to go with ‘big name’ artists whose hey day was gone by this time. Gwen Stefani particularly seems like a weird omission as she was so huge back then. I also wanted to see Summer Sunshine by The Corrs on there.

And some double appearances within the actual years which I don’t think happened on the previous two. I mean, I will never complain about two KT Tunstall tracks but they could have made room for other artists.

This Love did peak higher than She Will Be Loved which is the reason they included that instead. And also, This Love should’ve been on Now 58 instead of Hits 59 and Hits 60 or as well as Hits 59 and Hits 60. Vertigo appeared last year on Now Massive Hits & #1s so I don’t understand why it weren’t included on 2004-2005

This argument doesn’t really follow though when On My Knees is here over Dumb and Don’t Love You No More is here over All The Way.

I think Now just seem to pick and choose at random sometimes, or maybe try and mix it up to make sure different songs are occasionally represented. But certainly they don’t always just go by peak.

Like with Avril Lavigne, they picked her #22 single Don’t Tell Me over her top 10 single My Happy Ending

I think you've mixed up her singles. Don't Tell Me and My Happy Ending both peaked at No.5, Nobody's Home was No.24 as the third single (or Losing Grip, the final single from the previous album, reached No.22 in 2003).

They might have had the same peak but My Happy Ending is still more memorable than Don’t Tell Me and that had a #22 peak in the US

I doubt they pay any attention to the US peaks.

There's no rhyme or reason to their picks for some artists, perhaps in the case of The 411 and Avril they decided to go with lead singles, but for Craig David they went with the bigger selling but lower peaking hit. There's no real provable logic to it though.

They do tend to go for higher peaks with songs. Watch Especially For You appear on Now Yearbook 1989 even though it was bigger in 1988 than it was in 1989 but at the end of the day, that peaked in 1989 which is what they go for

Really enjoying Now Yearbook 1990, apart from a couple of things (like the album version of Betty Boo and some shorter edits of some songs), they've sourced almost all of the correct single mixes from the time. It's more my era than what's come already, and a significantly stronger collection than 1992 for me.

Being Boring I've never seen on any compilation other than the Millennium Series 1990 edition. It's nice to see PSB on these now - I wonder if their return to Parlophone for their new album is why suddenly their songs are able to be licensed to Now again? I guess the licenses must have transferred back over to Parlophone now.

I’m surprised that the la’s aren’t on there as they frequently appear on compilations. Hopefully, they appear on extra 1990
I wonder what Now spin-off is gonna be announced this week? Hopefully it’s Now 12" 80s 1982 Part 2 then I’m expecting Now Yearbook Extra 1990 to be announced next week then Now 117 the week after
