May 23, 20223 yr Yeah true, in a US season for example they would probably throw them in the bottom at one point for a "journey" moment or some vulnerability, at least Carmen had Snatch Game for that. Idk it just kind of feels like there's no point to doing a show when it's THAT obvious, and whilst I liked Carmen a lot more (again, the lack of blackface helps), it was similar last season and might have been why I wasn't as fond of it as other people were. Based on PPE Sharonne has by actually quite some way the best score ever for a normal season, with Bianca having 3.67 and Sharonne having 4.2, by comparison DeLa's All Stars run is 4.6. I think Keta Minaj was 4.0 too actually despite not making the final. PPE isn't the best way to see how well someone has done, but I'm always interested to compare when someone does this well.
May 28, 20223 yr Author Really intrigued to see what they will have them do for the finale! Maybe Sharonne's English will let her down like Carmen's did!
June 7, 20223 yr Hate the choice of winner. A right bore throughout and she was ate up in the finale lip sync in my opinion. Perhaps the most overrated drag queen on the show since Ginger Minj for me . This is Juriji’s world and we’re just living in it. Edited June 7, 20223 yr by Josh!
June 7, 20223 yr Everyone is saying that Sharonne ate up the season and yeah she did well but I do think it was inflated a lot, particularly the first few weeks where I feel she was Safex3, I mean I could have argued putting her low for the first week with such a high standard! It's undeniable how well she did in the second half of the season, there was just no need to ham up her track record at the start like that. The win distribution I feel could have gone something like: Runway: Onyx Talent: Sethlas or Diamante Improv: Juriji or Venedita Rusical: Estrella and Sharonne Snatch Game: Sharonne Ball: Sethlas Ads: Juriji and Venedita Roast: Marina Makeover: Venedita and it would have felt more even, to me it's like they went into this KNOWING they would crown Sharonne no matter what, she was the worst in that final lipsync too. I feel like she is very much a professional drag queen you'd see in Gran Canaria running a club etc but not a "next drag superstar" whereas Venedita I feel has that unique energy and style of a Drag Race winner. Perhaps Spanish culture or its drag scene is more receptive to the consumate professional type (Carmen now Sharonne) but I feel like Carmen had a good mix of both, whereas Sharonne is a leaves me cold type of professional. Can't deny her talent, but like I've said in this thread, I don't get that spark or oomph from her that I want. Overall, this series had probably the biggest fall off in Drag Race herstory for me, like... look at the talent show episode and then think of how dull the last couple were, it felt like it could be one of the best series and by the end (especially without Juriji) I felt like I couldn't care less.
June 7, 20223 yr Author Do I sense another If I Judged thread?? I did think Sharonne ate up the final challenge. It was a shame they didn't let Marina runner up as she would have killed the lipsync, bit mean spirited to just not let it be three runners up.
