#16 - Living In A Lie

 

 

At #16 we have Living In A Lie, an album track from Steps most recent album What The Future Holds Part 2. This was an instant favourite from the moment I heard it. It's very ABBA in its sound and I think that's great. With it's sing-a-long chorus this is one I always thought would've made a superb single choice. Also is it only me that gets a slight 'This Is The Song That Never Ends' from the melody and lyrics?? Anyway a great song and a definite highlight since the comeback in 2017.

Superb :cheeseblock: Certainly a highlight from their next album. I wish they’d performed it on tour.

I love living in a lie, wish it was a single but nonetheless i will forever enjoy it, great selection of songs so far, im a fan of all your songs selected so far.

I'll keep this moving with #15 coming later in the morning/early afternoon.

#15 - Story Of A Heart

 

 

Tears On The Dancefloors second single comes in at #15 in my countdown. When this was first announced to be featuring on the album and that it was penned by Benny from ABBA I decided to check out the original and I wasn't disappointed. That had me very excited to see how Steps would put their stamp on it and once I heard it it became one of my favourite songs from the album. The video is also a nice trip down memory lane.

#14 - Paradise Lost

 

 

In at #14 we have another album track appearing in this countdown. Paradise Lost featured on Steps third album Buzz and was one of my favourites from the very first listen. It showed a very natural progression and one that I felt fitted them perfectly. Even in the many years from (2002-2011) when there was new Steps music this was one I would revisit regularly. Like I mentioned in my Happy Go Lucky post earlier on, I felt these two would've made for a perfect 'double a' single release.

Living in a lie is great and just missed my countdown for some reason. Not a great reason as I do love this one! Should’ve been a single instead of Hundred years of winter.

 

Story of a heart is nice. I enjoy the nostalgic mood of the video.

 

Paradise lost is the the single that should’ve been released! Great track :heart: could’ve been a nice European/Australian hit.

I’m on the train home from drinks now, will post #13 when I get home. Without any confidence (I don’t have my list at hand) I think it’s an early single.

Paradise lost is yet another brilliant track by Steps.
