One of my favourite songs from Taylor, and perhaps one of her most defining, was the single Shake It Off which turns 8 years old this year.

She has of course had many other career highlights since then, but would she ever return to such a sound again in the future or is this fun young era been and gone now and unlikely to return in the future?

I wouldn't rule it out. I wasn't even expecting her to swerve away from pop until Folklore happened. Even if it seems unlikely now for her to swerve back, you just never know!

I don’t think it’s gonna happen until 1989 (Taylor’s Version) but still it should be interesting to see if she does something similar post-Vault release

I would, however, like something more like “Message In A Bottle” - simple yet effective, despite a high burn rate.

Good question!

I’ve really loved the folk era(s) but I really hope she does return at some point to the pop sound equivalent of 1989. IMO, I think she will.

And let’s not forget, she’s most likely going to release some songs from the vault for the 1989 era and my god I’m excited to hear these!

What I do have a strong feeling about is that once she’s finished releasing Taylor’s versions, she’ll be taking a longer break as she’s released a lot recently.
