Melanie will be playing a DJ set as part of Game4Ukraine's half-time show at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, next month.

 

The match, which takes place on August 5, is the brainchild of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian footballers Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksander Zinchenko.

 

Melanie said: “The power of music and sport translates all over the world, across generations.

 

I am honoured to show my support for the children of Ukraine in raising vital funds for their future.

 

It’s going to be an incredible day of entertainment both on and off the pitch for everyone, and I’ll be making sure everyone is up dancing in the half-time show.”

Since the 2019 SW Tour, it really has been so nice to see her fully 'fit' into her own skin. Prior to that, her solo endeavours were patchy, and random. Everything she does now seems to bring her so much consistent joy, and that's clearly resonating with the crowds that see her live at these events.

Nice to see the Brighton crowd sing along to the spice hits. And the joy from Melanie herself when she was performing those songs. Seems like they went off really well this time.

 

Also, was When You’re Gone performed solo at Brighton Pride? That seemed to work!
