They are doing more than fine all things considered I suppose it's just a case of as a fan wanting to see them do aswell as they can.

At the end of the day they are still selling well in todays market for legacy acts who sell up to or less than 10k first week and then barely a copy more after that. It would be nice to see all their albums at least going silver but so very few do nowadays their label are clearly pleased with their success.

HMV have both the standard version and the spatter version of the vinyl in their 30% off flash sale!

Thats good that its part of the sale, i was in Golden Discs in Galway the other day as its the nearest golden discs to me which is 2 and half hours of a drive and i checked the steps section and the only album they had was the ultimate collection priced at €14.99.

Agreed! Do we know why they didn’t do that? It made so much sense.

I think it was just they felt they had enough good material just to put it out as a separate album but I do think a re release as part of the original with those songs added would have worked better.

I am glad we got it as a whole new album in many ways as it’s a stronger album than part 1 for me and deserves to stand up in its own right. But the fact it has sold about 40k and it probably won’t certify until a good few years yet, is quite sad, it deserves so much more! For that reason I think pushing WTFH to Gold status would have been an overall better look for them, they played the game just right with TOTD.

 

ALTHOUGH, The Platinum Collection would have looked like a bad idea after just 2 albums since The Ultimate Collection, 3 albums and 11 singles looks much better justification.

Another option I guess is giving What The Future Holds Pt2 a completely different name. That may have changed things too.

Though I’m happy with how they are doing. It’s not the succes from the past but definitely good for the kind of act they are now.
