Release week starts from the day it’s released and covers its first 7 days of availability.

If released last week the album would easily be number 1 today.

I wonder if we will get any other special releases to tie in with the greatest hits? After tears on the dance floor, we got a nice box set of CD singles including lots of remixes. I’d love a remixes album including their newer stuff.

Hopefully they do, maybe it will depend on how the platinum collection sells.

I really hope they can sell their usual first week type sales of 25-35k I am a bit worried with the awful sales so far this year.

I'm hoping they can to and ideally closer to 30k than 25k.

We shall see, I also would love for them to hang around the top 20 for a few weeks too!

Eminem’s new Greatest Hits album only sold 8,853 and got to #3! :o Admittedly it doesn’t include the classics from the first 5 or 6 years of his career… and I’m not sure what formats he had overall, I’ve not checked. It does make me wonder what the potential sales for Steps could be though and whether 20k+ is too high an expectation. We’ll see!

 

Knowing them they’ll sell a figure that would have got them to #1 in many previous weeks, but miss out on #1 lol.

If they released a remixed version of the collection would that also count like with the previous albums? If so I am sure they will do something like that for it too in release week.

 

Also good to hear he only had one release at least I’ll be disappointed with anything under 20k for steps tbh and I am hoping for 30+ but looking at Beyoncé’s release I am thinking maybe I am being overly hopeful.

 

Steps will do way better than Eminem opening sales due to various editions, I expected Emjnem to do way way more but it's been handled in a lazy way plus it doesnt help that part 1 is still doing so well.
