the 2 cd def is so worth it it really does give a great overview of steps, if back to you and living in a lie were on it instead of some of the ballads it would be perfect.

I'd be the same plus for me part 2 is the better of the two albums.

Agree, they'd be great additions. I'd remove No More Tears On The Dancefloor personally. Though that may be an unpopular opinion.

That's another £8 secured from me, so I've bought this album four times, and spent over £60 on it this week, they better get the No.1

Can't wait to hear some of these! Some very unexpected choices, Only In My Dreams demo, Never Get Over You tour mix!

The Love U More mix will have to remain unreleased it seems but pleased to see the excellent Summer Of Love mix here.

Shame the show is not on a Friday! Hopefully this will give them a good boost to get them going through the week.

And ugh, I need to pay extra for my cassette (import costs) because they send it separately..and I already paid feed the first time..did they gave you a good resolution @Jay?

Heartbeat? When Better The Devil, 5,6,7,8 and Love U More were RIGHT there?!

Looks like these ones will be left in the vault! :(

The Heartbeat piano version is stunning though

The sales still count towards this weeks chart.

That's a shame about the import costs :( Hopefully not too high if the package is quite small?

Well I got this email yesterday "Sorry to hear this, we will arrange for 2 replacement cases and a replacement LP to be dispatched for you" but nothing else yet (no dispatch email or update to my order page on the store). I'll try and be patient!

Nice that they've done digital editions again, and some interesting choices included! A shame that they've missed 'Love U More' again.

I thought I would arrange the new tracks in alphabetical order so it's very clear what is included overall:

A Hundred Years Of Winter (7th Heaven Club Mix)

A Hundred Years Of Winter (7th Heaven Radio Mix)

Better Best Forgotten (Shortland Remix)

Better The Devil You Know (JRMX Radio Mix)

Better The Devil You Know (JRMX Remix)

Chain Reaction (Almighty Mix Radio Edit)

Deeper Shade of Blue (Steps 25 Revisited Mix)

Heartbeat (Steps 25 Revisited Mix)

Here And Now (FAF Radio Mix)

It’s The Way You Make Me Feel (Demo)

It’s The Way You Make Me Feel (Shortland Remix)

Never Get Over You (Wembley Tour Mix)

One For Sorrow (JRMX Club Mix)

Only In My Dreams (Alternate Demo)

Scared Of The Dark (SoundFactory Paradise Anthem)

Something In Your Eyes (SoundFactory Paradise Anthem)

Stomp (Stomp'n Remix)

Summer Of Love (Steps 25 Revisited Mix)

The Runner (7th Heaven Extended Mix)

Tragedy (WIP Extended Mix)

The 'A Hundred Years of Winter' remixes were originally exclusive to DJs via https://cdpool.com so it's nice that they've finally got a proper official release.

Stomp (Stomp'n Remix) was already on 'Stomp All Night - The Remix Anthology'. I'm not sure yet if Tragedy (WIP Extended Mix) is just Tragedy (W.I.P. Reception Mix) from 'The Last Dance' but I'll check.

It's also interesting that they re-ordered the original album for these digital releases. Maybe it's just a coincidence but from 5,6,7,8 through to What the Future Holds it's in alphabetical order! Then randomly the final 4 tracks not within the initial alphabetical order are actually in alphabetical order in isolation!

5, 6, 7, 8

Better Best Forgotten

Better the Devil You Know

Chain Reaction

Deeper Shade of Blue (Radio Edit)

Hard 2 Forget

Heartbeat

It's the Way You Make Me Feel

Last Thing on My Mind

Love's Got a Hold on My Heart

One for Sorrow

Stomp

Summer of Love

The Runner (Steps Platinum Version)

Tragedy

Something in Your Eyes

What the Future Holds (Single Mix)

Heartbreak in This City (Single Mix)

Neon Blue

Scared of the Dark

Story of a Heart

A few comments about the digital version exclusives:

'Better the Devil You Know (JRMX mixes)' - somebody on Popjustice described it as sounding like Steps vocals over the instrumental of Kylie's version. How intriguing!

Chain Reaction (Almighty Mix Radio Edit) - this is a promo only mix from 2001, never commercially released before (however the full length mix was on 'Stomp All Night The Remix Anthology').

'Deeper Shade of Blue (Steps 25 Revisited Mix)' - this is the version from Summer of Steps 2018 tour.

'Here And Now (FAF Radio Mix)' - this is actually from 2001 and was included a couple of CD-R promos at the time. From what I can gather it had never been shared online, so it was rare before now. Descriptions on Popjustice include "sounds like it was made for the US market" and "sounds like N Sync" - interesting!

'Never Get Over You (Wembley Tour Mix)' - I have to admit I'm not knowledgeable about the tours from their heyday at all, but looking through the Popjustice thread, a lot of them are thrilled about this! It's from 2000. Looking forward to hearing that one.

'Only In My Dreams (Alternate Demo)' - the Gold CD had different lyrics printed for Only in My Dreams, which was a mystery for fans - but those lyrics feature in this demo.

'Summer Of Love (Steps 25 Revisited Mix)' - This is the What the Future Holds tour version, therefore not the same as what leaked a few years ago. The leak:

(from the Summer of Steps tour).
