I'd be the same plus for me part 2 is the better of the two albums.

He isn’t that big is he? <_<

This was a really big hit recently:

2-2-2-3-4-3-4-5-6-10-30 (Aitch & Ashanti - Baby)

This upcoming album is his debut, so presumably there’ll be a fair bit of hype. He’s bound to do really well on streaming, so it really depends on if he’s built up a fanbase that’ll be motivated to buy physicals too. He has a CD, three cassettes, three vinyl. Plus he has 2.2m Instagram followers to promote to!

Just caught up with the interview just now on iPlayer. This comes out the week before my birthday and a couple of weeks after I see them up the road from us in Chelmsford for the first time :)

Be lovely having the old hits on vinyl together with the newer songs too - I've got the signed one on pre-order!

I've seen a couple of my friends (who I would've described as quite big fans) on social media vowing they'll "never get a penny out of them" again after how the Cardiff and Bournemouth shows were cancelled earlier this year. Eeeek, I hope that's not too much of a widespread notion. :(

You honestly have to eye roll at people like that. The bigger picture and all that…

Yes, they should have cancelled them outright but Christ, people died and are still dying. Perspective.

I agree, I know its totally understandable to be disappointed but acts really only cancel when they have to. Due to airport issues because of bad weather a kylie tour was cancelled here in Ireland years ago and gutted was an understatement as to how I felt as it wasn't rescheduled due to the tour dates elsewhere but it didn't put me off her if anything it made me more excited when the next tour came around.

They got refunds I guess? So that stance seems rather churlish! Obviously people don't have to buy anything by Steps if they don't want to, but as long time fans it seems a shame for them to have decided to resent them for something that I'm sure was out of the control of Steps themselves, and much more to do with their team that handles their bookings.

I have to say, the track lists for the albums are a bit all over the place. Depending on which version you're getting, certain songs are not included. For instance the picture disc vinyl is just one disc, not two, so it is a condensed version of the 2LP vinyl's track list.

I've written up a summary of each track list. "xx" means that it's not included on that version.

An oddity I'll point out now: iTunes has 'Deeper Shade of Blue' as track 1 and 'Scared of the Dark' as track 2, but on every other version they're the other way around.

NOTES:

Only iTunes specifies that certain songs are Single Mixes/Radio Edits/Remixes - their official store and Amazon don't specify. However I'm assuming for instance that 'A Hundred Years of Winter' on the CD2 will indeed be the F9 Remix Edit like iTunes says, rather than being the album version.

iTunes doesn't tag the following songs, but their track lengths suggest that they're the single versions:

- Better Best Forgotten

- When I Said Goodbye

Words Are Not Enough is very likely to be the 'Gold' album version rather than the Radio Edit (a version which for some reason wasn't released on the CD single anyway)

Unfortunately regarding 'You'll Be Sorry' (Pardon Mix), their team continues to overlook that the digitalised version of this song is missing 8 seconds from the beginning.

I think the most surprising thing about these track lists is that they've pretty much paid dust to the 'Step One' album tracks. 'Love U More' is only included on the digital version, but is snubbed from the CD! That's a bit of a choice considering that it's one of the major fan favourites. Apparently all of the members love 'Buzz' though! Only two songs from the standard version of 'Buzz' haven't found their way onto 'Platinum Collection', those being 'Happy Go Lucky' and 'Wouldn't Hurt So Bad'.

Ya some all over the place track listings, love u more only on digital version and no back to you but I suppose it was choices by each group member, many of my own album track faves weren't picked.

Amazon Picture Disc is currently #4 on Amazon's overall best music sellers list, also #1 in their vinyl chart!
Hopefully that's a good indicator for pre orders. Looking at the steps site I really feel for fans who are big into having the complete collections as there are so many versions on offer that cost alot if you were to buy a copy of each one. Idont buy all myself but even if I did my wife would kill me for spending that amount of money.

I feel so out of the loop

I'm on Vacation in Vegas but this all popped up for me this morning.

I need the Platinum Bundle. The website says however it 'is currently only avialable for delivery to UK delivery addresses'. Do we know of anywhere that ships internationally? I tried to see if I could order and if it would ship, but because I'm in the States right now it converts to USD and I just gave up.

No doubt this would be the first Steps Greatest Hits album to have many formats - surely there'll be many CD, cassette and vinyl versions, so that would secure purchases from the hardcore fan base. I think there's enough recent singles to separate it from the first two Greatest Hits. Also, Gold and Ultimate Collection were over 20 and 10 years ago respectively, so I'm sure there's a potential for new buyers.

I think there's also another factor that since Steps aren't strong on streaming, having a new greatest hits that they're promoting might make at least some of the younger streaming audience check them out since they're not likely to stream albums that were released over a decade ago either way. Having a brand "new" playlist might get their attention for at least a minute before they go back watching TikTok and messing up my lawn.

I'm.hoping the greatest hits will in some help them on streaming this time comparing to the studio albums which havnt done great. What sales did ultimate collection open with to go number 1?

34,000 copies

Steps as we have seen previously can sell Greatest Hits packages.

They may not match previous sales but I see a very safe Gold selling album coming from the Platinum Collection.
