Welcome to the grand final of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest! Two agonising semi finals from Turin in Italy have given us 20 acts to join the Big 5 to make 25 finalists. All 40 participating countries can vote in tomorrow night's final, making up 50% of the final result. Tonight, the other 50% will be decided by the national juries, who'll be watching the dress rehearsal.

Make your final predictions, keep up with the odds and final rehearsals in this thread. Enjoy the final 24 hours of the 2022 season!

And don't forget to have your say in Buzzvision! Voting closes midnight tonight and the results will be revealed tomorrow afternoon before the big show!

I think Sweden will take home in the end because their song and performance are absolutely outstanding. Eurovision has a track record of countries not winning due to present circumstances and Ukraine's song isn't strong enough to win by a landslide. The song is very regional and authentic however which will help them score a lot of points but I think they will miss out just. Spain will HUGELY benefit from the absence of both Albania and Ireland in particular being the upbeat and vigorous song. This should score high with televoting. Greece has an impeccable performance while Serbia has an iconic song that will be strong enough to score high, just like Ukraine last year. I can see Italy flopping like Francesco Gabbani in 2017 and their running order doesn't favour them either.

United Kingdom is inflated by the odds. In reality I don't think this song is strong enough to bring them a top 5 finish here. At the bottom I think both Belgium and Switzerland just scraped through and I think the slow ballads would become forgettable especially when they don't have a vocal moment in the end. Depends on how both the jury and public feel on the day, Germany will be hoping to escape the cursed 0 points this year.

How is SUI #7 if they are #4 with juries but bottom 5 with televote? That won't be enough for top ten.

Isaiah was 4th on the jury in 2017 and 25th on the televote, 9th overall. If the jury score is high enough and the jury/televote rankings are totally different like I think they will be, it can be enough.

Ukraine will most likely win. Hopefully U.K. will do much better with our best song in years!

I have accepted Ms. Corny in my life. The song is actually quite good. The camerawork really does ruin the first part for me tho

I still think it's Ukraine's to lose, the performance elevates the song.

We should also be noting that countries that might often throw Russia high points will be looking elsewhere this year.

That draw is going to boost Sam Ryder though if Europe decide to not punish the UK politically. Cornelia should be a lock for 2nd, but I managed to grab a 9/1 for her to win just in case.

Assuming Ukraine will win like many are saying do you think it will be a complete runaway. I don't mind the song but more in a 10th place type more than a winner but I have no issues if they win purely by Europe voting in support.

yo

I am going to follow that and say that I can really envision a UK-Ukraine top 2 with Sweden in 3rd, and then Serbia/Spain/Moldova/Italy making up the rest of the top 5.

That Damiano GIF in the OP is still the gift that keeps on giving :cheeseblock:

Great to see the U.K. on top of that press poll! Have also seen that Sam posted a TikTok asking people to vote earlier and it has over 12 million views :o

I hope Serbia don't do nearly aswell, France also very low, but that aside I'd be happy enough with those results.

Personal ranking of those in the Final (Not seen ANY performances though!)

02. France: 'Fulenn' by Alvan & Ahez

03. Norway: 'Give That Wolf A Banana' by Subwoolfer

A consistent enough final I think. Definitely missing some of the surprise exits (and some not so surprising *cough*Denmark*cough*) though :(

i’ll be watching on delay cos of my saturday job so just here to say now best of luck to us this year we really deserve to go top five at least. hopefully we don’t fall too flat of the good predictions.

No, I think it'll be close. I expect it to kill the televote but not do quite as well with juries. Sweden is for sure a jury top 2.

(on stream now) we were just talking about how Ukraine comes after a strong position in the running order and so doesn't have exactly the best slot - and how it might be the case that everyone thinks everyone else will vote with it in support but doesn't actually do it themselves. I do think they'll do well on the televote and will probably even win it but could easily slip behind a jury winner, whether that is UK, Sweden, Italy or Spain.
The two big wildcards in the televotes are Ukraine and the UK. Ukraine from the completely unprecedented situation there and how much that groundswell of support translates into votes and also how much Sam Ryder's TikTok fame can act as a call to action to boost the UK's televote above what its natural score should be. For what it's worth, I've definitely seen a lot more people say that they think other people will vote for Ukraine than say that they will vote for Ukraine themselves so...idk what that's indicative of!
I usually watch alone but tonight I am watching with like 10 other people. We were at a conference for work and extended by a day and a bunch of their partners are coming up from Berlin too. Gonna be awesome.
