Posted May 27, 20223 yr This Sunday, get ready for 2/5ths of Steps in what will probably be a very divisive album! So, are we happy with 6.30… or 6? What do we think? Spotify playlist to follow :)
May 29, 20223 yr Author As long as someone else is here, I’ll run it. I don’t think it’s fair to those who turn up to have it postponed (I just didn’t want to be alone!)
May 29, 20223 yr Author Here is the playlist! Playlist for those who missed my earlier post! Track 1 loading :)
May 29, 20223 yr Haven't listened to this in several years, so can't wait, but from what I remember its better than Lisa's solo effort.
May 29, 20223 yr Author 1. All Out Of Love Is this the one everyone says would make a great Steps song because if it is… I totally agree! I got OFS vibes inside the first 20 seconds! Wouldn’t sound like Steps without a spot of Claire over singing would it? Ha! Edited May 29, 20223 yr by Yobnedor
May 29, 20223 yr Author 2. Don’t Stop Movin… I mean DJ I heard they were trying to replicate S Club 7’s Don’t Stop Movin’ and ever since I was told that, I can’t hear anything else haha!
May 29, 20223 yr All Out of Love - 10/10 Fantastic album opener, this really felt more like Steps & probably would have been a far bigger hit if it was released under their name. Love how it starts almost ballad like before turning into a europop dance pop anthem, brilliant track, definately their best.
May 29, 20223 yr DJ - 9/10 A catchy disco anthem that's aged pretty well. A fantastic lead single choice for the duo.
May 29, 20223 yr Author DJ - 9/10 A catchy disco anthem that's aged pretty well. A fantastic lead single choice for the duo. Agreed!
May 29, 20223 yr Author 3. Another You, Another Me A very Claire song that wouldn’t sound out of place on My Wildest Dreams. I wouldn’t have put it this early on the album to be honest as it kills the momentum that DJ and All Out Of Love built up
May 29, 20223 yr Another You Another You - 8/10 A really stunning ballad that has that ABBA sound through & through (not surprising considering Benny & Bjorn wrote it). This has a similar vibe to 'The Day Before You Came', Clarie's vocals really shines on this. This was gonna be the 4th single, but scrapped due to them getting dropped, dunno how this would have faired, could have been interesting to see how this would have faired. But doubt it would have saved their careers at this point, due to the album tanking. But solid track though.
