4. Beauty and The Beast - I’ve always been afraid to listen to this as I adore Celine and her version but I will say this isn’t bad actually! Wouldn’t skip it if it came up on shuffle anyway! Not bad H&C!

This felt very dated even back in 2002. An okay-ish cover & really sweet, but kinda boring. Claire sounds great as always, H feels very out of place though. Sounds like Booty and the Beast

5. Half a Heart - A new change of tempo and I quite like it. I feel the whole album has been very Claire dominate so far… does that change? Am I just being critical?

Half A Heart - 8/10

An interesting 2nd single choice that I don't think the public were quite ready for. But like the slight R&B tones this has which sounds very different to anything they've done before, but still has the pop chorus. A nice tune that's more of a grower.

6. All I Want Is You

 

It’s amazing how Steps this album is sounding. I quite like this and I hear a lot more H on this one. It does make me wonder why they were so keen to leave Steps to then do an album that… sounds exactly like what Steps would do…

Half A Heart - 8/10

I remember really LOVING this one at the time & still like it now, this brings back memories. A really strong catchy disco pop track that could easily fit into Step's back catalogue.

7. Centre of My Heart

 

The most filler of the album so far but I really feel I can hear Faye and Lisa in this one…

This has a nice uplifting feel to it, with some guitars running throughout. Really sweet little number.

8. You’re a Love Song… okay well I take back what I said about the previous. This now fits the bill.

 

The first half of the album wasn’t bad - I hope it doesn’t dip in quality from here.

You're A Love Song - 6/10

This wouldn't sound out of place on a Disney ballads CD, pretty boring doesn't go anywhere interesting.

9. Two Hearts Beat As One

 

A very “Claire” song! I’m not sure what else I can say about it other than it’s better than the last one!

This sounds exactly the same as the previous track, seriously what's the difference, another boring album filler.

10. No Turning Back

 

Okay the tempo has turned back up and not a moment too soon! Liking the H dominance here (on the first verse...) I still feel like I can hear Faye and Lisa in the background though! Almost as if it makes me question whether they featured on some of the Steps choruses after all…

A bit of a relief after 3 ballads in a row, an okay uptempo number that still feels rather lacking.

11. Nothing at All - a track that reminds me of DJ but also gives me Lisa vibes as well so maybe be default a Steps sounding song right here??

Slightly better than the last, but feels rather lacking in the production area & could have been a minute shorter.
