February 1, 20232 yr Silent Running is the most boring thing they've put out in ages. Edited February 1, 20232 yr by RabbitFurCoat
February 2, 20232 yr 'Silent Running' is definitely my least favourite of the singles from this era so far but still liked it - they're not really leaving much to the imagination having released 5 singles from a 10 track album but at least they're saving the most interesting collaborations for the album release I guess. I'd say I actually liked all of the first 4 singles on about the same level so a little hard to rank them but I think at this particular moment I'm feeling 'Skinny Ape' > 'New Gold' > 'Cracker Island' > 'Baby Queen' > 'Silent Running'. None of them are quite on the same level as the highlights from their previous album. I agree that the second half of 'Skinny Ape' is a lot better than the first half which holds it back from being a more clear favourite from the era.
February 8, 20232 yr Right now i'm feeling Cracker Island > Skinny Ape > New Gold > Silent Running > Baby Queen right now. Anyway, here's the video for Silent Running! _0Pf48RqSsg
February 23, 20232 yr Author 'Tormenta' with Bad Bunny is Radio 1's Hottest Record tonight ahead of the album release tomorrow.
February 25, 20232 yr 'Oil' and 'Tormenta' are great collabs to lift this album. I think it's mostly a strong effort, the tracks they hadn't released before, are generally the best ones (though 'Cracker Island' remains the clear best of course). 'Tarantula' has some great electronic bits for them on their own for example.
