You make some interesting and valid points but I don’t think you can accurately say that Kylie’s demographic group is least affected by the cost of living situation. On what basis are you saying that? The majority of Kylie fans will be from mid 30s to around early 50s age bracket who are more likely to own their own homes and therefore be impacted by mortgage rate rises and energy costs. In comparison, it is younger people who are least likely to be affected, particularly those who are still living at home with their parents but fewer younger people tend to be fans.

Delicate didn't imply that Kylie's album buying demographic were not or least affected by cost of living situation. What he implied is that whilst the cost of living situation has hit everyone hard, Kylie's (and Madonna's) fanbase skews older which means they're at a point in life where they only spend money on the things that matter most to them - which includes spending money by hook or by crook for their favourite pop stars.

Closest analogy I can think of is American football like the NFL league. People in their 20s and 30s will buy tickets for games if their home team is playing an interesting opponent, or they got it for a discount or want to do something for fun on Sunday, they may even spend money on season tickets for their home team regardless of who the quarterback, TE (tight end) or WR (wide receiver) is on the current roster (sort of like the casual pop music demographic that buys an artist's album purely based on the music and what's hot in the chart at the mo - it was Daniel Bedingfield yesterday, it's Ed Sheeran today, could be blah-blah tomorrow).

Kylie's , Madonna's, U2's fanbase etc is the opposite - even if they got evicted from their homes for failure to pay rent and are living on salary slip to salary slip (of course I'm exagerrating, lol but you get the drift) they'd spend money on the few things that they deem important in their lives (I say few, as you start to declutter your life as you grow older). This is like the NFL fan who's been watching / following football for decades, had a favourite player and the fan could be unemployed or poor or whatever, perhaps even their favourite player is retired now...but the fan will still borrow money or sell his stuff on marketplace so he can get money to bid for that autographed football, or some memorabilia or pay 3x the price of a season ticket so they see their favourite player's comeback tour.

So, in that sense, whilst inflation and cost of living crisis has hit everyone, I still say the Kylie's and Madonna's will always have stronger probability of more consistent sales just because of not only the devoted fanbase, but that spending money on Kylie is a bit higher up on the priority list (than an Ed sheeran fan, for example).

First time Kylie is promoting a new project/album so much in the US! Hope it pays off!

I think she’ll manage a Top 15 album out of it at the least - not sure any singles will impact though :nocheer:

Purely becuase of the amount of promo she has done there this time it would be disappointing if padam padam did nothing in the charts there.
I'm a bit worried about Olivia Rodrigo release on 8th September. Will it challenge Kylie on the 22nd?

I can’t believe they didn’t release Vegas High to go with the announcement of Vegas or the tickets going on sale. Feels like a wasted opportunity.

I feel like had a few instant grat tracks by this point in the Golden and Disco era’s, but I guess they really don’t want to distract from Padam. They better give us lots of singles and surprises post album, as we’ve really had a drought building up to the album release.

There was 2 months between Say Something and Magic, and no promo singles or grats in between (I Love it arrived a month after Magic). A similar gap happened between Dancing and Stop Me from Falling (and then Raining Glitter came as promo single less than a month after the latter).

It'll be over 3 months by the time single 2 arrives here, so it's a month longer, but it's natural when Padam has been such a huge hit, far bigger than anything from the Golden or Disco eras!

I do get it with how Padam's runaway success has taken them by surprise, but on a personal level it would be nice to have a promo track or something by about now. It feels like I've been living with one song for so long and it'd be nice to hear something else from it! ('10 Out Of 10' excepted)

6 weeks to go until Tension!

I don't think she will be back in the UK for the 2nd single release as it may need a little bit more promo and radio rounds etc to get it hyped and also to do some European promo for PP and Tension

She could easily do a Whistlestop European Eurostar Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Germany swing with Spain and Italy via a quick plane ride.

But Delicate did actually state Kylie’s demographic group is least affected by the cost of living crisis….these are his words below;

“Additionally, Kylie's main demographic is the one least affected by the cost of living crisis…”.

The above statement is not true for the reasons already mentioned. Not sure I entirely agree with your views that older people will only spend money on the things that matter most to them because this is clearly dependent on your disposal level of income (the amount you are left with after paying all your bills / expenses). Most people now have significantly less disposal income than they did but at the same time fans know if they can’t afford an album by their favourite artist then they can always get it for free from the internet without paying a penny.

It’s pointless anyway arguing over this so let’s just agree to disagree.

Happy for single 2 to be released end of August (not Weds release though haha) it allows it to capture the extra promo from the album release to push up its sales/streams etc. They can release the single on Itunes deluxe and standard albums so we can buy both, then they can look at playlists, physicals, features all built in with album promo. They will want to get it on as many playlists as possible ahead of the album release to gain streams with PP & 10 out of 10 and boost sales in the streaming area. Wondering if they may do a physical of 2nd single + an album download off Kylie.com for a special price of something like £8.99 to grab some extra sales
I think with the 2nd single there is a chance of a vinyl and maybe no cd this time but you just never know.In anideal world both formats would be available to buy as a bundle which would help with shipping costs.

I think we'll get CDs again as they're easy to produce.

Will Olivia even be #1 on the first week, this era for her so far has underperformed. Kylie has loyals that will snap up anything and everything, BMG are ready.
