Ya i still think it will be borderline top 5 which is fine for week 2, i just hope it can stay steady enough for a good few weeks.

I am still surprised tension is likely to have dropped outside the T5 after 1 week. That is disappointing when sales are not particularly high. I think in the long run, it is very unlikely to match the sales of the previous two albums and may struggle to even reach 100k in total. Disco was released during lockdown when we didn’t have a cost of living crisis and the market has shrank further since then.

 

The top end of the chart can be quite fierce each week with all the tricks pulled out for a decent placement - especially for artists that are likely to disappear the following week.

 

Hopefully Tension can stabilize in the 7-10 area this week and next.

I think when sales are low it’s easy with a small change to make a difference - albums which will chart lower on Friday jumped ahead yesterday due to promo activity (iTunes reductions and signings for Mae Muller and Andrew Cushin, London signing for Busted etc.,).

It will be her first album to drop from #1 to outside of the Top 5 :drama:

Discounts, new variants, promo, Xmas markets, things like Black Friday discounts etc. Could sell 3k some weeks, more other weeks. Should do OK

 

And that's why they should go with songs that can appeal to wider public and can have edits, features which differ from original Album to grab extra sales and extend the album campaign up to Xmas and early next year.

Looks like Kylie will perform at the Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix. All good even if she just gets a few interviews or clips on Sky, Channel 4 and on other international TV production companies

We have a lot this year aside from Tension - probably too much when you consider we’ve had some barren years!

 

Tension, KM88 vinyl, BL vinyl (along with Vegas, RAh etc.,) plus Dannii re-issuing NN and Girl, it feels a bit overload and takes a way a bit of the excitement of getting the reissues when a new album is out.

Is the BL vinyl confirmed though? I know we have the tees ready to go, but all I've seen is posts on Twitter mentioning it?

So Guts is 36 on the top selling albums of the year. and must be on around 77k? So i would think Kylie Tension will already be in the top 75?
