Liverpools break seems to have solved nothing then…..

We have no athleticism in midfield, feels like it is going to be a long season  The only saving Grace is I think all the other teams are susepticle to poor runs of forms as well. Will see how Arsenal fare if they have a injury or two to key personnel, but they look best of the rest so far after City!

Haaland. What a striker he is! He will tear up all records in a season if he continues like this, barring any injuries.

Tottenham say they are "devastated" that fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone has died aged 61.

The Italian joined Spurs in November 2021 as part of manager Antonio Conte's backroom staff.

"As loveable off the pitch as he was demanding on it, Gian Piero quickly became a hugely popular figure with players and staff," the club said.

Ventrone was part of Italy manager Marcello Lippi's staff when the country won the 2006 World Cup.

Premier League players will take the knee before the next two weekend games to show their unity against racism.

Top-flight matches between 8 and 16 October will be dedicated to the No Room for Racism campaign.

Club captains agreed before the season that they would stop taking the knee before every game and instead choose significant moments to demonstrate the anti-racism gesture.

Players will also take the knee at Boxing Day fixtures and cup finals.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has signed a new contract with the club until 2025.

Copper, 42, led the club to promotion into the Premier League last season but his team are bottom after eight games.

There were doubts over his role after a 4-0 defeat by Leicester City on Monday but it was decided he would remain in charge.

"It puts clarity on speculation. No one had ever questioned how much I love it here and want to be here," Cooper said.

3 draws and 2 wins for Bournemouth since they sacked Parker. Whoever would have thought that their squad was nowhere near as bad as he kept proclaiming it to be. That decision looks absolutely vindicated right now.

Their form since the hammering at Anfield has been impressive. They are even above Liverpool at the moment, albeit having played two more matches.

So Rashford's goal was chalked off for handball (fair enough, if them's the rules) but Scamacca's and Antonio's were fine? Bollocks to that.

Also definite Gabriel handball in the Arsenal match too.

Are Arsenal in the title race?

Well everyone is still in the title race technically :P

But regarding Arsenal it's far too early to say. I think they don't have good squad depth though so a few key injuries could derail their season, much like 2013/14 where they spent more time at the top than any other team yet stilled finished 4th.
