No mean feat: Dean Henderson becomes first Premier League goalkeeper in over four years to deny Harry Kane from the penalty spot.

Has any player improved since Gerrard came in at Villa?

Ramsey did to start with but has now dropped back even further.

Coutinho started pretty well but is now poor.

I also enjoyed the narrative from the commentary team that Gerrard had lost 3 out of 4 games now and was in real trouble....whilst Moyes sneaks off with the same record.

Fair point but Moyes has credit in the bank. Gerrard has done nothing at Villa so far to suggest he's got the minerals.

Scott Parker has become the first Premier League manager to be sacked this season following Bournemouth’s 9-0 defeat to Liverpool.

It seems a bit rash but it’s hard to come back from a 9-0 if your name isn’t Ralph Hasenhüttl.

It does seem pretty harsh to sack him when his defeats this season were against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool, and of course they won their other game against Villa. Hasenhüttl's come back from this twice, Parker hasn't even been given the chance, but maybe his comments about the players and owners after the 9-0 had something to do with it. Think they should have at least waited until after their midweek game at home to Wolves before coming to this decision.

It was the comments and general falling out with the owner. It's clear to see he's not a premier league standard manager too yet from his previous stint with Fulham. Admittedly 3 points was the realistic maximum they could have gotten from their first 4 matches....

Next Bournemouth Manager Odds: (Paddy Power)

Sean Dyche 13-8f

Kjetil Knutsen 3-1

Chris Wilder 10-1

Nathan Jones 12-1

Gary O'Neil 14-1

Liam Manning 16-1

Michael Carrick 20-1

John Terry 20-1

Wayne Rooney 20-1

David Wagner 22-1

Duncan Ferguson 25-1

Harsh imo, got them promoted a few months back at the end of the day!

Scott Parker is another poor manager who's got the jobs he has because of his name. He was heavily backed in January to complete a job that any half competent manager shouldn't have needed. Nothing is ever his fault, and to come out after a 9-0 loss and say that it probably won't be the worst day of the season is truly awful management. I don't find it unsurprising in the slightest, but it's a shame as Forest play them on Saturday!

Everyone's spent all summer talking about how much Forest have spent, but the money spent on our squad is about £5m more than Bournemouth's. Parker, and come commentators, go on like it's on some kind of Derby 07/08 level. It probably is the weakest squad in the division, but it's not so bad to just give up completely straight away.

Manchester City have scored five or more goals in a Premier League game for the 32nd time under Pep Guardiola, which accounts for 14% of their games under the Catalan (32/233).

It is more than twice as many such games as any other side since he joined (Liverpool, 15).

Arsenal have won their opening five league matches for the first time since the 2004-05 campaign, when they went on to finish second.

Not sure what you mean by his name? He’s hardly Gerrard/Lamps/Rooney!?

No win in 12 league games and only scored 7 that includes 2 games v promoted teams and 2 who were relegated for Wolves.
Haaland is basically a cheat code. If he stays fit, Salah's record of 32 goals in a season will be passed with ease, scary!
After last night, I assume we will now have to start referring to Kloppage time.

Kloppage time would be 5 minutes appearing out of nowhere. I've watched a lot of football and genuinely never seen something as blatant time wasting as that. Keep the ball in the corner, fine - I'd want Liverpool to do this, but the fact Howe wasn't even that arsed after the game is because he knew he'd told everyone to take the piss! I like shithousery but this was too far.
