Posted June 17, 20223 yr Hello and welcome to the Steps Forum 'Ultimate 25 Steps Songs'. What started as a simple Ultimate Rank by Hazelnuts back in February has turned into a forum wide rank where 7 of us ranked our Ultimate 25 Steps songs. I have taken all of these ranks and assigned each song points based on where they placed in each members rank. The song that ranked 25th received 1 point, 24th received 2 points, 23rd received 3 points and so on, all the way to the #1 ranked song receiving 25 points. For instances in the top 25 where songs were tied on points the song which got more individual votes got the higher placing. I considered this fair as it featured in more ranks. A total of 48 different Steps songs received votes from the 7 individual ranks, so which 25 do you think made the Ultimate Rank? Released in the UK on the of 10th November 1997 it would debut at #18 before peaking at #14 a few weeks later. However it was when it was released internationally in early-mid 1998 that Steps really started to get a taste of the upper regions of the charts., peaking at #2 in New Zealand and going all the way to #1 in Australia. 5,6,7,8 received votes from 4 of the 7 participants.
