Can we confirm that Perrie has released the worst solo material ever by a ex girlband member? I’m still shock about how bad is and the level of people that works on record companies. I mean, I wouldn’t spend a penny in her career after listen the first two singles.

Girl, you’ve been in one of the biggest girl bands ever, plenty of hits and you release these two songs? Oh WOW.

I kind of can, because it happened to all the others (barring Jade)

  • Apparently a fan spoke to Perrie on DM's and she confirmed there was still a long wait until the next single... Kinda worried when she celebrated one year of FAU she made no references to more music.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… Pop/Rock is HER LANE and that is where she should be venturing! Give us her version of ‘GUTS’ or ‘Breakaway’ or ‘HOLY FVCK’! She’d smash that lane I reckon.

Nicole 'Boomerang' Scherzinger says hi. Also 95% of Geri Halliwell's output.

Well, I’ve never been into Geri Halliwell but I think that start your solo career with a #2 and 3 numbers #1 in a row is far away a signal that your solo material is bad.
Geri did very well as a solo artist (particularly in the first few years). Now whether it was the quality of her output, or the epic one-of-a-kind popularity of the Spice Girls (plus she being one of the most iconic members / being the first to go solo / the manner in which she left), or a mixture of all these factors, is the real debate.

Poor 'Boomerang' :(

Also a large chunk of Cheryl's solo output was absolute rot.

I’ll always have a fondness for Geri but her music was generally a bit crap imo. Granted she had a lot of success though.

Cheryl’s too - besides Call My Name.

Well at the end of the day everyone has different tastes and that’s completely fine. The thing with Perrie for me is that I’m not sure if she went solo like “yeah, let’s release an album , cool” or really wanted to have a solo career because in that case I don’t understand the 2 first singles after a decade of success. It’s really shocking for me.

I have always thought that for any band member the first solo album must be really special because after many years working in the industry you can finally leave your creativity flies but, if you wanna have a stable solo career you have to ensure that the first release is a banger, or maybe the second, but if you don’t get the hits from the beginning is over.

Erm most of Geri's solo stuff is better than any of the solo stuff by Little Mix so far! :arrr:

Geri's first two singles in particular are vastly superior than any of the first two singles by the LM girls, she truly kicked off with a bang.

I was referring more to Geri's later solo output (from second album onwards  :kink:).

She looks gorgeous in that outfit! She looks super bored though. Single 3 needs to be something special for this album to see the light of day.

I'm pretty sure we will get another single.

--

Perrie on the 3rd single

She thinks it will be out September/October

She said the next song is very 'feel good' and she has seen the fans online and know what they want and she's going to add something somewhere in the song where they can hear her siiiiing.

She said there is nothing like this song on the album, it is 'energetic, fun and different'.

The next single is likely going to be make or break here in terms of how an album goes but I wonder if Tears might end up not making the album at all if the next single does something.

Part of me wonders if they might try and scramble a feature for single three to try and ensure it at least goes top 40. I do think she’d be wise going for a ballad personally but I’m a little nervous as to what kind of material she has based of what we’ve heard so far not really showcasing her voice or having much if any personality.

The album campaign is probably in a tricky situation at the minute as I don’t imagine they’d have predicted Tears doing as it did but then her team were pretty pants with it too and haven’t seemed to try to make it do anything. Im still rooting for her to provide us with something that has a vocal moment in it though.

I definitely think if we do get an album she could at least manage to get a top 10 if not top 5 peaking album (but of course if there’s not any hits on there the chart run would be pretty brief).

Perrie says 'never say never' to a reunion but if it happened it would have to be a 'good few years'.

The album is 'potentially' this year but she is still working on it. She says pre-order should definitely be this year.

Album is coming 'early next year'.

She is performing on The One Show tomorrow.

'I’ve promised myself that I'll stop making tweaks soon as I’m excited to get it out into the world. It's going to be released early next year.

Until then, I’m excited to release more songs and hopefully there will be lots more performances. I would love to do some live shows around the album release, too, so we are working on a plan to try and make that happen.

There’s so much to look forward to. I’m nervous, of course, but also super excited for what’s to come.'

Wise choice. Think releasing in Q4 would burry her sales.
