Im hoping it can go top 10 as its an album i love, i know the new edition doesnt exactly set the world on fire but id still lov eto see spiceworld back in the top 10.

Im going for number 9 on around 5k.

I think it will miss going Top 5 but achieve close to 6000 sales.

Any last predictions?

It’s hard to predict this one, but going off Spice 25’s sales:

 

[Vinyl: 4,563 | CD: 1,464 | Cassette: 1,219 | Streaming: 364 | Downloads: 188]

 

For Spiceworld - maybe half the amount of vinyl, half the cassettes, 250 streaming, 150 downloads = just under 3,300. Would put it outside the Top 20. If I’ve slightly underestimated the vinyl, then maybe Top 20.

 

I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if this has the capability to go Top 10. Maybe in the midweeks, but fall out before Friday. We shall see!

They really made a mistake not doing individual covers this time... although maybe not so much if they were going to do them in that hideous silver background... If they had done one for each girl in their respective letter spelling out SPICE I think it would have been even more popular amongst fans. I am not purchasing anything this time, I may put one of the items on my Christmas list but I am not overtly fussed with it to be honest.

Just incredibly stupid and a missed opportunity per usual with them. It pissed me off that they didn’t continue the tradition of individual vinyl covers. Guess the Spice25 has plenty left in store so they decided not to do it.

I would be very surprised if this goes Top20, sorry... At best it might go Top30 but at this stage I can't see it anymore..

I wonder what the expectations from the label are for this?

Honestly I am at a loss with this. Maybe they know it just wont sell so they are already giving up?

 

Like, the LAST Spiceworld25 social media promo that actually promoted the purchasing of any of the Spiceworld CD and Vinyl releases was on 29th SEPTEMBER :wacko: It is well over one month away and there is no buzz, no promo, nothing... So sad...

 

Just this week they posted about throwbacks, with no indication at all on that Spiceworld 25 might be on sale LOL... anyway...

 

I don't really know what to think anymore, as this has been so dispiriting to watch, specially with the lack of engagement from the girls themselves. If they don't care, why should we?...

 

If Universal gave them a record deal, I am sure they would be more involved. But alas, they wont touch this at all unless they see millions in front of them, so....

#39 this is such a mess release

It really is sad to see how little they care about their back catalogue... so many other artists release re-editions and go all out shouting it from the rooftops which is what they should be doing too. As Mr X said, if they don't care then why should we?

Not having the CD out the same week as the other formats means top 10 is alnost certainly out of the question. Hopefully it can be top 20.

 

Of course watch them troll us and announce something as a band next week that sends sales soaring and with the CD would have easily been top 5.

If the vinyl is not even Top100 on Amazon, then I really don't think it will even be Top40... Sorry guys...

I think we have to remember that a significant amount of sales will likely come from D2C (direct to consumer, their own store) and we have no indication what the sales are like from there, even though the Amazon sales are weak.

Well it looks highly likely that this will miss the Top 20, which only 3 voters predicted! 2 voters predicted 2,000-2,999 sales, which at this point looks set to be the outcome.

 

I had thought my most recent 3,300 guess could be a bit pessimistic, but it looks like they won't achieve that.

Maybe I shouldn’t jinx it but I think it would be quite difficult for them to miss the Top 40 with multi formats.

Now I did say this before the delay of the CD, but... the album actually is in danger of missing the Top 40 by Friday! :drama:

To be fair, he had written it before the CD release was pushed back. If the CD had been released on the original release date, the album would have comfortably made the Top 40.
