I do wonder if now that it's gaining the chart the label will end up adding Southstar as a credited artist to the Oliver Tree/Robin Schulz version, and then have the two versions combined. As that could end up being what pushes it to be a #1 hit at the rate it's climbing now.

Just read an article about this, who steal what. And apperently southstar was a fan of Oliver Tree‘s song Jerk and he sampled/remixed it. Rather sampled I would say. But without asking for a permission.

According to the manager of Robin Schulz, as an answer the label and the production team behind Schulz created a very similar song to the Southstar version but with the voice of Oliver Tree. Robin Schulz himself didn‘t even know about this.

 

If this is true than that‘s a real mess :lol:

'Poland' has debuted at #7 in Poland :cheeseblock: :lol: Reminiscent of Big Sean randomly getting a #1 on Lithuanian Spotify just by dropping a song titled 'Lithuania'.

 

Country seems to be doing very very well in the US chart at the moment, it currently makes up 1/4 of the Top 20 and 1/4 of the Top 40 too!

 

Heavily boosted by radio as ever though, although tbf there are 5 country songs in the top 40 on Spotify as well which I think is probably higher than usual?

 

Annoying that Zach Bryan is now pretty comfortably the highest country song on streaming but still only the 3rd highest on the Hot 100 because country radio is so slow and/or out of touch.

I was just browsing Poland’s chart and Maneskin’s ‘The Loneliest’ is up to #49 there - shame it’s not the same here!
