Posted October 3, 20222 yr At San Diego Comic Con the teaser to 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' got released: RlOB3UALvrQ They've just released a trailer for it: _Z3QKkl1WyM Releases 11th November 2022 in most places.
October 3, 20222 yr Author Both trailers are incredible. The teaser trailer is PERFECT. I'm very, VERY excited for this. Extremely excited to see Namor, Riri Williams and I'm really intrigued to see Shuri as Black Panther (if it is indeed her - I'm like 95% confident it is).
October 18, 20222 yr Apparently Rihanna has recorded a couple of songs for this with one set for the end credits like 'All the Stars' was for the first film. PLEASE be true!
November 2, 20222 yr The trailer for this looks amazing, the film is actually 2 hours and 45 minutes long, looking forward to see this, I think this is going to the biggest blockbuster Marvel movie of 2022.
November 11, 20222 yr They handled all references to Chadwick/the character of T'Challa with such dignity and respect. There was a lady in the front row of the cinema absolutely sobbing during Rihanna's song. When we came out of the cinema there was this beautiful sunset which we found quite poignant. A masterpiece.
November 13, 20222 yr I really enjoyed this but did anyone else find it visually quite dark? I'm not sure if it was just my screen (my local cinema is really old!) but I found some scenes really hard to see, particularly at the beginning of the film. Going again on Tuesday and have booked to go to an IMAX so fingers crossed that will be better.
December 3, 20222 yr Author I loved this! My only qualm is that it is wayyyy too long and I think it could've been done without all the CIA/Martin Freeman stuff. I adore Namor and found his story really intriguing and interesting & I feel that they handled him and his character extremely well!
February 2, 20232 yr Watched it on Disney+ last night and it was way too long, I got bored half-way through. It was a no-win situation going ahead without Chadwick, and they tried hard to do his memory and the character justice - but there's a huge hole at the heart of the film without him, I'm afraid. There was only one actor with the gravitas to carry it through and that was Oscar-nominated supporting-actress role Angela Bassett's, but she ain't a superhero star sadly. The plot was all over the place, it started well and then the war between Namor and Queen Angela and the plot consequences just annoyed me. Talk about unsympathetic politicking, nobody deserved much praise as characters until Shurie's U-turn which was bunged in after the film was done pretty much as a sort of redemption. Flawed posturing and arguing characters within the context of the plot, flawed film 5/10 for me, sadly (and it needed Black Panther 2 to turn up at least by the mid-point if not sooner)!
February 21, 20232 yr Finally watching it too at Disney+. I honestly loved the plots, until Shuri chose not to kill Namor. I'd probably hate Shuri a lot if she did that, but the story would've been more interesting for the next phase. 8,5/10 from me.
