OMG THAT is such a massive underrated favourite of mine. I'm so so excited! :w00t:

Drowned World have reported that she has included three songs that never have been performed on tour!

Definitely could see Rescue Me finally getting a proper performance! The live performances she did for The Power of Goodbye at the time of its release were awful but if she can adjust it to suit her capabilities then I’d love that. I suppose now would be a good time to finally perform This Used to Be My Playground given it was a US #1 but I just can’t see her doing it. Maybe American Pie?

We've already told you that the show is mostly made up of tracks that have been released as singles, although it's not exactly a greatest hits tour. However the show will also include some - or better, just a sprinkle - tracks that weren't released as singles. One of these songs is from Madonna's "Rebel Heart" album that has never been performed before. While another is an oldie-but-goodie that deals with the heartbreaking topic of losing her mother.

 

Madonna is not only going to perform her iconic catalogue, but she's also going to switch it up by singing covers of songs from other artists. She's even going to bring back a classic that she performed many moons ago. We're pretty sure that when you hear one of these cover songs, you'll think it's in response to Madonna's health scare that put her in the ICU and caused her to delay the start of her tour. But nope, that's not the case. This 70s classic was already on the setlist before the sad event that shocked us all. Madonna will also create a mashup by combining one of her older songs with another late 70s track. Lastly, she will include a more current tune from an artist she has collaborated with in the recent past.

Rebel Heart song not performed could be hold tight !!

I'd love 'Promise to Try' to finally get performed! 'Hold Tight' is a bit basic but, with better production, I do think it could be a really uplifting, uniting moment in a live setting.

 

I do like that Madonna isn't just performing the greatest hits and is using this as a moment to delve deeper into her entire discography. It will probably keep things interesting for Madonna herself as well as the fans. Maybe she'll switch it up as the dates go on and perform other songs she hasn't performed before.

Good for me but not the casual fan. I wonder if she is doing a Janet and doing so many songs but cutting them up !!

I don’t really care for the idea of her doing covers, she doesn’t need to!

 

I’m not sure I’m massively into the idea of anything from Rebel Heart unless she’s never done Ghost Town before. Or Promise to Try either really… on a more intimate set of gigs maybe but not on a greatest hits tour Madge!

She did do Ghosttown a couple of times on the Rebel Heart tour (plus some of the promo dates), but that would be the CLEAR pick from the album.

 

In terms of covers, if it’s more mashups akin to Music Inferno, Future Lovers/I Feel Love then we could be into a winner. I think with Stuart Price involved there’s a good chance it will be done right.
